eBay just scammed me

I bought three 7 gallon water containers for a total of $45 and a week later it says they've been delivered except nothing was delivered. Also note that the seller has three negative feedbacks that all say my item was never delivered yet it says delivered. 

I filed the complaint, because the seller ghosted me. The day it was supposedly delivered, I called UPS, the courier, and they couldn't tell me what address it was delivered to but they asked me what my address was and they confirmed that it was not sent to my address. Some woman named Heidi received it and it only said tukwila, which is the city I live in. 

eBay took the side of the seller, and said that the seller proved it was shipped to my address. That is impossible because I called UPS and confirmed that it was not shipped to my address. Also in the case history it shows the seller providing a tracking number on two different occasions 3 days apart. I spoke to eBay twice on the phone and both times they reassured me that it would be fixed because it's so obvious that it's a scam. The guy has three negative feedback in the last 6 months saying the same thing. 

Well they have officially decided to take the sellers side. It makes no sense whatsoever. How can I not be protected when I purchase something and it never arrived in the seller is obviously a scammer???

I will never do business with you again because how could I it's simply too unsafe. 

So I'm very interested in learning how exactly I got scammed here because it shouldn't be possible. In fact everyone has a right to know because this person is able to use eBay to scam people successfully. eBay is now a straight up thief who stole my money in broad daylight. There is no argument and it's completely irrefutable. 

Oh yeah if that weren't bad enough I left negative feedback that eBay will not allow to be seen on the sellers page. Even though I completed the process, it just doesn't show up. 

To be honest I do believe eBay is singling me out and intentionally stealing the money because of some personal vendetta they have against me.

You can open a credit or debit card dispute with your credit card or banking source online if you have them online. Rather easy and not complicated.

'negative feedback'...if you use words you wouldn't say about mom or pop...the seller or eBay can have the feedback removed.

I did not check the feedback first unfortunately but I would have still assumed those ppl got there money back. Maybe they did not. Idk. 

I was plenty polite. The feedback described the situation nothing more nothing less.

Whenever I get scammed I make it a point to understand how I was scammed because that education is worth the money I lost. 

So how is this even possible? How was the seller able to send something overnight airmail to a different address and tukwila my city, like how did he pull this off?

Seller can do a google to see if there is a house for sale or a business in your city Tukwila and send something...a piece of paper or a box of rocks overnight airmail to that place.

Again, with the debit or credit card used...do a dispute on line with your credit card or bank...real easy...be very simple in words...maybe 7+ business days refund.

I thought of that before coming here but its my elderly mothers card and she is one of those "I'll just let it go and move on but never shop there again" types of ppl whereas I'm so insulted that it goes beyond money and is about principal.

If you can get a letter from UPS stating that the address that the item was addressed and delivered to was not your address.  Then you can appeal to eBay at one of their social media sites on FB, Instagram or X.

The fake tracking number scam.  Get a letter from UPS saying it was not delivered to your address. An email will do.   If you paid by credit card, contact your card company.  Let them know if the fake tracking number scam.

It's the fastest growing scam on eBay.

Since tracking shows delivered you will lose the item not received claim. You should of opened item not received claim instead. Post about this on reddit and they can give you more details going that route. If you're still within 30 days of the delivery date I would hold off running to your CC until you exhaust all options within ebay

Since the item shows delivered, his cc will not help him. If op paid with Paypal, they have a new option to file a claim,'delivered to the wrong address.'

The credit card company will likely help the victim of the infamous "fake tracking scam" SO LONG AS THE OP DOES NOT CLAIM 'ITEM NOT RECEIVED'.   If @reachfollowers  should decide to go this route, they have to give up on the "item not received" idea.  If they don't, the card company will remit the claim to eBay, who responds with the same (FAKE) delivery confirmation and the victim will be denied again.  They need to file FRAUD/FAKE TRACKING SCAM.  

Same goes for those who have given up on eBay assistance and go to PayPal.  They must use the "shipped to wrong address" choice/reason and NOT INR.  

In the meantime I will add this post to my year long "wall of shame" in the hopes that eBay will finally provide a published policy and recourse for their buyer victims instead of demonstrating how their Money Back Guarantee is a giant fail.
