Seller shipped to wrong address - what to do?

I placed an order with a seller tedstore-9 and on the day tracking said it was delivered, nothing arrived. USPS provided documentation saying that the item was addressed to a different location in my town. A residential address with a redacted house number. It seems that the seller made a mistake and sent to a random address that I never provided. Not the address that is in Ebay's system. I reported, explained, appealed, and got nowhere. Case has been closed  and I'm out $130.00 Seller is ignoring me. Seller is tedstore-9.

Do I have any recourse at this point? In 20+ years I've never been ripped off on Ebay. I didn't realize it was so easy.

You could have got it cheaper on Amazon, where the seller is dropshipping from.

Get a letter from USPS stating the item was not addressed to you, then use the letter to appeal the case.

Maybe not sent to the wrong address .  You could be the victim of the fake tracking number scam.   Yes, that scam is super easy and works great.

Most likely you were scammed. It's a common scam. The only thing you can do is contact your credit card company or bank.

Sounds like the "fake tracking scam".  Your seller is registered in Israel, and shows shipping from California. Use "google lens" to see all the places this is for sale for half the price. 

If you have documentation that this was not delivered or intended for you, you can contact eBay through one of their social media platforms, and as for assistance with a Fake Tracking scam.

Dealing with regular customer service (call back or chat) will likely not be productive.  

If you paid with PayPal, and choose to disregard the usual NON help you get from eBay, choose "SHIPPED TO WRONG ADDRESS" as the reason and proceed from there.  DO NOT USE "ITEM NOT RECEIVED" !!!!

Same goes for your credit card...file FRAUD/FAKE TRACKING SCAM, not ITEM NOT RECEIVED.

That advice is really bad.  To tell a buyer not  to at least trying to go through ebay's Money Back Guarantee or their social media outlets, to deal with the scam, before contacting a card provider or bank, could cause a buyer to have their MBG protections restricted or even voided if they do that often enough.

Looking at the feedback of this seller I would not expect scam but most likely a drop ship gone bad with seller not realizing it. As others mention, at this point, I think your best course of action is to go to ebay on FB and see if you can get a result there.

Did you happen to read what the OP said? They already reported it and the case was closed which is why I said what I said. So the advice is on point not bad. I would never ever give bad advice. The last option is to contact whatever payment source they used.
