@mam98031 wrote:I had an interesting issue happen today. On one of my orders for two different items from the same listing, when the buyer paid, their payment did not include shipping. This was a US sale and if you'd like to look at the specific order involved, it is the only one sitting in my unshipped orders.
How did this happen? Is it an Ebay glitch or is the buyer now able to adjust the invoice?
It is a US sale. The shipping was stated in the listing at the time of purchase. In viewing the listing, it appears fine to me. So what happened? Why did Ebay give them free shipping?
Hi @mam98031, I'll take a closer look at this for you and report any issues to our tech teams, no problem!
Thank you. And guidance on what I should do about this would be great too. I shouldn't have to eat this cost. I did email my buyer but I haven't heard back yet. Not unusual as buyers are often not online as often as us sellers. But if they don't want to pay for the shipping then what do I do?
Hi @mam98031, though shipping out without payment for the shipping portion is ultimately your decision, your only other option would be to cancel the order. If this is related to an eBay error, we would be able to remove any related defects that may arise. Either way, be sure to communicate with your buyer on what you plan to do.
That is what I thought but I just wanted to verify. I'll decide what I will do once I hear back from my buyer. I will let you know if this all goes south on me. 😂
Oh one other little thing. Are we ever going to get a little larger size emojis. They are so tiny!
Trinton,
I resolved the issue. In closer review this is a PP problem, not Ebay. There is a discrepancy between the email notification on this order and what shows in PP. The payment was correct. I was paid for shipping. So all is well, just a little hiccup I will watch for in the future in case it happens again.
Thank you.

Hello
FYI When buyer's make a purchase and adds a note for the seller during checkout, that note becomes apart of the Order Details. But if the buyer wishes to print a copy of the Order Details and uses the Printer Friendly Page located near the top of the right side that note from the buyer to the seller is not there and is not printable.
As a buyer I always print a hard copy of my eBay purchases since most of my purchases are made for the purposes of resale. That note to the seller will often times include information that I may need access to down the road.
Is it possible to pass along as a request; to add the "Note To Seller" to the "Printer Friendly Page of the Order Details; to the appropriate department.
This is the Order Details Page
This is the "Printer Friendly Page" of the Order Details Page with
NO NOTE TO THE SELLER.

I have 2 items with "Tracking indicates late delivery" demerits, and soon there will probably be another.
It's true they were shipped late.
I lost my internet connection for almost 6 days, and all the other places I would usually go in such a situation are now closed, so I was completely helpless to know about sales or ship sold items.
Is there any hope of getting those demerits turned off?
Hi @vrykalak, Customer Service will be happy to review the details and explore available options. I recommend you reach out to your dedicated Concierge Support with the item numbers and tracking numbers.

Hi everyone, the chat is now open for replies! Looking forward to talking with you all 🙂
I have 10 days handling time on .ca.
Domestic shipping is showing as 11 to 28 days.
To the US is showing 14 to 23 days.
Both of these are absurd shortest delivery times and is doing nothing to help sellers as well as giving buyers unrealistic expectations during th Coronavirus.
When will Ebay quit using whatever numbers they want and use the handling time plus carrier dates which are far more accurate?
Or does it depend from where it is looked at?
Hi @papermoneyforme, the estimated delivery dates are calculated based on a number of factors. One is the sellers historical shipping timeframes. Another is the buyers location. If a buyer is located near you then the delivery estimate will most likely be faster than a buyer who is located further away.

Mam, you're not the only one! I've run into this with about every other PayPal payment lately. The PayPal e-mail shows $0.00 next to shipping, but the total does include shipping cost.

Yes, I am referring to the sales history by size at the variation level.
Example: item 132076187978
If I am understanding you correctly, if there were any sales against an item, they will not be corrected and the eBay issue has caused the loss of the sales history at the size level. Is that correct?

Very often when we report a problem here, we're asked for one or more listing numbers of examples that will show the problem we're referring to, and of course that's entirely reasonable.
By the same token, when you refer a problem to one of your teams on the Engineering side, can you give us back the case number for your report, so that we will have something to refer to when asking about progress on it in the weeks or months to come? That will do wonders for quickly pinpointing which issue we're referring to, to see how it's progressing. Thanks!
Hi @a_c_green, I definitely understand where you are coming from with this request. However, we aren't able to share this kind of internal information and in most instances, the ticket number is not something that would help in getting updates. In most situations providing a link to a thread / response from one of us is sufficient for us to followup on something 🙂

If tracking has shown movement, we will continue to provide extensions for delivery until such a time that it becomes clear the item has been lost in transit. I can't provide specific details here, as the details of the tracking would determine what is a reasonable extension for that particular situation, but in general, we will provide 10-15 additional days for delivery if there has been a tracking update within the last 7 days domestically, or within the last 10 days for international shipments.
Do we, as sellers, need to do something specific to get the extensions in this situation?
Hi @fern*wood, nope! If an extension is appropriate, this will be applied if we are asked to step in to make a decision in the case. We review the tracking details and will allow for more time if this is warranted by the tracking details.
Okay, I promise not to beat this to death, but I recently had a delayed package and wondered about these answers.
You say the extension would happen if appropriate if ebay was asked to step in. So does that mean actually hitting the button to ask ebay to help make the decision? As a seller, I'd crawl over hot embers before doing that in an official case. So is that the only way to get the extension?

This was my first one, but I sure know to check the PP site if this happens again.

Now that you are attempting to show real-time reports it would be very beneficial if you could let us sort our listings by Impressions, page views, qty sold, click-through rate, and sales conversion. (see image below) Right now I can only sort by Qty Available. Can you add the "sort triangle" to the other columns?

Hi @maxoptical, great suggestion! You can share this feedback with the Seller Hub team directly using the "Comments?" option in the upper right hand corner of the page. Your submission will go to our Seller Hub team directly and they will be able to respond to you if they have any additional questions or need more elaboration on what you would like to see 🙂

More price gouging
Famotidine
199.00 , 159.00!!!!
Really it's a an acid medicine and once they put out in the news they are testing /using it in large doses Bang out come the crazy price gouging sellers
I am not seeing the reporting button working on removing any of these and ton's getting sold.
How does ebay work the reporting ? Yes you moved swiftly to try to keep up on Mask , Wipes etc. But new items keep popping up
Are they prioritizing reports for price gouging since it's almost impossible for you to know what the next item will be
Sad to see all the upset buyers coming and slamming the site for allowing it .

Buyers notes need to be implemented differently. Our systems are fully automated, after the order and payment is received, the packing list and shipping labels are automatically printed and then put on a truck. I usually see the buyers notes long after the product has been shipped out.

So what are we supposed to do about defects on our accounts that are directly eBay's fault? I had one that was supposed to be removed, but never has been.
Hi @gwzcomps, you can request defect appeals in Seller Help. These requests go to the appropriate team within customer service for review 🙂
