When a buyer files an INR and on that INR it has a place the seller can enter the tracking number.  Is it a requirement to do so if the tracking number had been previously uploaded to Ebay when the item was shipped via Ebay labels or otherwise?

If the tracking starts to show movement, how long will Ebay give an extension for without closing the INR in the buyer's favor?

I know we have been over this before, but it has come up again on a thread and I forgot to earmark the post from one of you guys that explains this.

Hi @mam98031, if a seller has already provided tracking to the order they won't need to do so again through the item not received request.

If tracking has shown movement, we will continue to provide extensions for delivery until such a time that it becomes clear the item has been lost in transit. I can't provide specific details here, as the details of the tracking would determine what is a reasonable extension for that particular situation, but in general, we will provide 10-15 additional days for delivery if there has been a tracking update within the last 7 days domestically, or within the last 10 days for international shipments.

Excellent, thank you Trinton.

Following up on my question last week in reference to "variations".  I can see that the on hands have been adjusted to the effected item numbers, however, the sales still reflect "0".

Is eBay going to recapture the sales?

Hi @sugarcitysales, we did not adjust the quantity of any listing variation that had already received an update from the seller or had experienced sales. From the details you have shared, it sounds like a different issue is occurring. If you can give me the item number, I'll be happy to take a look at what is going on.

Question:
Does purchasing eBay store instantly lifts selling limits?

If,say,my monthly selling limit is 30 items a month.
And if I subscribe to basic eBay,would INSTANTLY be able to list 100 items a month?
(if total value of all listings is,ofcourse,up to my monthly $$$ limit value)

New subscribers should be aware of it (yes or no).

When are you guys going to do something about the price gouging,it is absolutely out of hand.

People come to eBay for thrifty shopping, fast service and most of all to save money which is a thing of the past it seems here lately. Why is it allowed and excuses given instead of doing something about it? I have been here 14 years but considering another method for online buying and selling. So disappointing.

Re: announcement for returns directed at buyers.

Buyers—We have increased the number of business days buyers have to ship a return back to you to 21 business days, starting the moment you accept a return request and the buyer receives a return label.

I believe the time frame is excessive, as the 21 days allowed to return is too long, and then adding the non-business days to that over multiple weeks brings the return extension time to an entire month.

If I have an item that is seasonal, getting that back quickly to post in the current season is significant.

Hello, I am the seller, 2nd Q.

What to do about a buyer who is returning a designer wallet saying ‘doesn’t match description or photos’.

This is brand with the manufacturer’s color ‘Rosy Beige’ on the listing and tags.

She is incorrectly stating the color as ‘putty beige’ to justify the return, which was not necessary since I offer Free Returns.

I do not want to receive a defect or have this on my service metrics unjustifiably.

Thank you and stay safe.

Hi @stuff4divas, if the buyer selected a 'Not as described' reason then you will need to accept the return. If you offer free returns or are a Top Rated Seller then you have options for partial refunds upon receipt of the item, such as if the buyer misused the 'Not as described' reason. You'll find more details here. Thanks!

Can a buyer that pays with paypal on a local pick-up only listing file an item not received case?

Hi @fern*wood, yes. While we would not expect tracking for a local pickup transaction, the buyer is eligible for eBay Money Back Guarantee protection when a seller did not work to make the item available to the buyer for pickup as promised. More information can be found here.

If a seller's historical shipping time is next day- but they temporarily extend their handling to another time frame and don't ship for 3 days or 5 days- how long will it take the system to recognize the new historical shipping time and appropriately update delivery estimates for buyers?

Do we, as sellers, need to do something specific to get the extensions in this situation?

I have 2 items with "Tracking indicates late delivery" demerits, and soon there will probably be another.
It's true they were shipped late.
I lost my internet connection for almost 6 days, and all the other places I would usually go in such a situation are now closed, so I was completely helpless to know about sales or ship sold items.
Is there any hope of getting those demerits turned off?

I have an item in my SOLD list that shows as Shipped (383490151451).
The sale was canceled at buyer's request, but I had already purchased a label. I voided the label, and received the refund. But it still shows as shipped.
There's also flag that says I need to ship an item, that has stayed on since the date I voided this label.
I don't suppose this has any effect on my status, but can it be fixed?

Hi @vrykalak, you should be able to change the status of this order to not shipped by un-marking it as shipped, but this won't have any impact on your account. If changes aren't able to be made to this order, it will naturally be removed from your orders page after about 30 days.

Hi everyone, the chat is now open for replies! Looking forward to talking with you all 🙂

For some reason emails are no longer sent for offers.

Is it intentional or is it a glitch?

Hi @papermoneyforme, sellers should still receive an email. If you can tag me in a thread with an example then I'll be happy to take a look!

How long are we now giving for returns?

Return #1 28 days into 30 days for a return and buyer opens a return. So now they get another 21 days to return item.  Requested Aril 18th now said buyer has until May15th to return?

Return #2  Requested March 21st. Said buyer to date has never sent item back. CS says we have to wait?  April 21st would have been 30 days delivered.

We have had no issues with any covid shut downs but have to leave our shipment dailey on the dock and USPS picks up. So why can't said buyers just place items in their mail box for pick up?

Now that you are attempting to show real-time reports it would be very beneficial if you could let us sort our listings by Impressions, page views, qty sold, click-through rate, and sales conversion.  (see image below)  Right now I can only sort by Qty Available.  Can you add the "sort triangle" to the other columns?

This is a much better answer than what I just received from my similar question.
