I received my first negative today and am absolutely heartbroken. I try so hard to be good to my buyers but I was not even given a warning that this lady was un-happy. Just a negative without reason. I would have given a refund or corrected whatever was an issue if she had contacted me. I have sent a message to the buyer to find out what about the auction that made her think she would be receiving 3 of the items instead of the 1 she purchased as I do not want to have it happen again. If she purchased 3 I did not receive and order for 3 I only received an order for 1? I just feel this is so unfair. 😳😥

No, I am not arguing that it is clear. I said I thought it was and that I was only trying to promote my other listings so the buyer would know there were other colors available. I obviously was wrong. At first I thought she meant she ordered 3 items. I do now think it was the photos. My mistake.

I'm a little confused. Looked at the item that your received the neg & I looked at the original listing and I saw 4 of these things, not 3 as mentioned in your post & the buyers FB. But the quantity doesn't really mean anything. If you show more than 1 item but were only going to ship just one, it seems to me you are misleading potential buyers and inviting trouble. Your listing headline states the offering will be boxed -a box of 1, 2, 3 or 4??? If you are selling just one item - take & show in the listing a picture of just one the buyer will receive. Sometimes the buyers buy use their cell phone and some info may not be read or displayed. Clear communication are necessary in on-line selling or even in tete-a-tete selling. Seems the neutral you received also was a result of buyer confusion too.

And this is the truly sad bit to the negative feedback issue:
1. The neg will disappear from the seller's feedback scoreboard within exactly one year from the day it was issued.
2. The neg will stay on the buyer's feedback issued scoreboard forever. How? Buyers can only receive positive feedback from sellers or just none at all..
Thus...
You will be free from the buyer's feedback within one year, but your buyer has to live with the fact that it was issued forever.

Ok, now this is what I am not understanding. I sent the package to the buyer with 100. Insurance on the package. She said she received it but that the package was wet and looked as if it had been run over by a truck. Her words. She said it has a sticker that says delivered without the contents. I assume that means USPS knows they have lost or destroyed the item. No big deal we all make mistakes and things happen. I did not ask her to do anything I simply told her I would replace or refund the money for the item. I have given her either option. Why would she file a not as described when it would be so pointless? She has the option for a replacement or a refund. She was very nice and friendly about the entire issue. I want to replace it for her just as I would have done for this other lady if I knew there was an issue.

I've had a buyer do that also after I told her I would do something. Too often I believe some sellers (cough--China) do not do what they promise, so buyers are conditioned to always file to hold the seller to it. I can't say I wouldn't either.
You can still refund as a response to the NAD case. They would win since they filed a NAD so it isn't really pointless.

I forgot to mention that if the package was Priority, then you should have $100. insurance coverage since you are a TRS. So, I would ask the buyer for a photo of the package and file the claim online. They don't have to send you one, but most will.

I give up. No NAD was filed. The lady was very sweet. I obviously made a mistake. If I need help in the future I will not post here I will simply message a few really nice helpful people that have been long time sellers for advice. This is my last post on this board. It seems this board is for bashing and hurting other not for helping a fellow seller. Those of you that have helped me thank you so much. I really do appreciate your help and advice. Sheila

I'm sorry, I thought you were asking why your buyer filed a NAD case since you were handling the situation on your own. I misunderstood what you were saying. I didn't mean anything derogatory towards you, I was just trying to explain why they might have done so.

Yes there is a 100.00 insurance on it however since she has it won't she have to file a claim? So won't the refund, if it happens, go to her?
No. You purchased the insurance. You file the claim and indicate that the refund goes to you. Go ahead and give her what she wants, a refund or a new product. All you need from her are pictures. If she can't do pictures, ask her to take it to the post office as evidence for your claim. You file the claim and collect the money. Last time I did it I did everything online. A check came in the mail rather quickly, though I don't remember specifics. It has been awhile.

Priority Mail insurance is $100 if she purchased it through eBay.

Why would you do that?
The advice has been a bit repetitive but I haven’t seen anyone be unkind.
Dont forget, people often answer as they read through a thread - they don’t realize other people have answered because those replies are down lower.
It can make a thread really long.

I just got a negative, not long ago, from a guy who I gave a full refund to. Some people just have to be negative even if you are completely fair to them.

That's too bad because you seem like such a sweet, caring person. It would be great to see you post more frequently. You are welcome to ask or to add anything you want at any time. There are many different personalities posting here. So clashes are inevitable. Try not to worry about it. That's just life. I don't think anyone meant to hurt your feelings.

Hi 🙂
I did take a quick peel at your listings. I'm wondering if she saws those sets you have listed with the 3 Cover Fx in them (of course they they must smaller sizes) and got confused and thought that was what she had placed in her cart? (Sadly, would not be the first time for me when a buyer bought one thing, but upon their thinking back, they were sure they had ordered another item???...lol) But I would just email her as ask if that was she meant to order? If it was then no problem, send her a label to get back the full size and send her asap the 3 pc one. And being good about covering the shipping and handling it quickly, hopefully she will be appreciated enough for the quick inexpensive fix on her part (even though it was her fault not being more due diligent in her ordering), that we will be willing the do a nice feed back revision for you. (Also, might make yourself a nice loyal future customer to boot 😄 )
Just a thought. Honestly, I'm drifting off to la la land.....so don't know if anyone already mention it or not. If they did, my apologies then and feel free to just ignore me. I half asleep at this point anyways, lol. Good Luck ! 🙂

Never put up a picture of several items if only one is for sale. I see sellers do this all the time and it is asking for trouble.
