If it is general delivery, eBay considers it delivered when it reaches the Post Office and it will show on your account as delivered.

My criteria is complicated and expanding. 😛 Some of it is gut feeling and some of it is years of noticing things that bad buyers in my field do. I think I had to block 10 people this week already.

So you are blocking buyers that you've had no transactions with but somehow you feel they will do you wrong so you block them?  Where are you gathering these buyer IDs?

Dang, I handle a lot of transactions and I don't think I've blocked 10 people in the past year.

It is really tough to explain.  There are certain things that are indicators of problems.  Plus a lot of people somehow mange to get around my buyer requirements with no explanation from eBay.  Things like my unpaid item requirements.  Questions are a good tool to find bad buyers in some cases (yes I get the current irony).  A simple example is I get buyer frequently asking me if they can use a part in a way that isn't supported.  Not worth the return when they ruin my stuff.  That is the problem with the category I sell in though.

In this post (https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/200-free-listings-through-April-on-non-store-accounts/m-p/3083...) Tyler confirmed that the 200 free listings promo in April had a glitch regarding auction-style listings scheduled to automatically relist 8 times.

"This is a confirmed technical issue: the 8 free relists for auctions should not be pulling from the 200 promo."

Is this glitch going to be repeated in May or has it been fixed for next month? Thanks!

Hi @coffeebean832, I'm not sure the status of this one. I'll reach out to our tech team to get an update and post in this chat (and tag you) at that time. Thanks 🙂

Sounds like you need to take a hard look at your complicate criteria for some adjustments to lessen the amount of buyers you feel need to be on your BBL.  As you know you have a limit, there is no help coming for you in the foreseeable future to increase that limit, so it is up to you to figure out a way to work within the current limits.

Good Luck!

What I would love to find out is why eBay stripped all the important information out of the "Your eBay label is ready" email. Kinda pointless sending them with what they contain now. I remember it used to supply basic buyer information, carrier, and tracking information. Was a really good way to figure out problems when the buyer messaged about tracking or delivery time issues.

Yes I definitely agree!

1 - Buyer's Note To Seller is important info to have.

2 - Shipping service offered or chosen by the buyer is important info to have.

3 - Also at the very least the buyers City, State and Zip Code is important info to have.

This particular issue has been a sore spot since approximately May of 2019, if I remember right, and has been raised countless times here in the Weekly Chat, most recently with a summary in January of this year (here) regarding the atrocious lack of any discernible progress.

I would dearly love to see any forward movement at all at this point, but our hard-working Community reps seem unable to deliver a kick in the pants to whoever on the Engineering side is supposed to be working on this issue.

In reply to the question about adding SKU to the sale notice:
- maybe SKU could be a non-mandatory IS, so eBay could easily find it
also

It already is, kind of sort of? Its already the 2nd box on the the advance listing form (unless a seller is using $$$$ubtitles), then its the 3rd box. But its also generally located elsewhere if the seller is using some other type of listing mechanism. i.e. 3rd party listing manager, etc...

Revise your listing(10).png

- the Paypal notice of payment includes the listing # in the subject line
I would find that hugely useful, too.

The only problem with this is that I the seller now have to perform another step by adding eBay's Item Id # to my inventory system after I have created a listing. Furthermore that # is changed later on if a seller ends the listing but then later relists that same item.

Hi Guys!

Sorry to see Alan leaving us.  Wishing him a great future where ever he goes!

Shipping question:

I have received numerous orders for puzzle books and adult coloring books over the past month where the buyers wanted them shipped to an inmate in a prison and county jail.  I understand the buyers wanting to provide some respite for the inmates since the no visitors rules went into place.

Two have now come back to me noted as Return To Sender with no explanation other than RTS written on the shipping label.

A third came back Monday same thing,  RTS, but the prison included a rules sheet on what inmates can receive and how.  Rules state:  All books, magazines and newspapers must come directly from the publisher, bookstore, or book distributor, no spiral binding.  No padded, cushioned or bubble envelopes.  Along with myriad other rules.  Being as how I've never been in prison nor a jail I had no idea of the strict rules.

Question ~ Buyers provide the ship to address which contains a person's name followed by a series of numbers or a pod number or group number.  They pretty much all leave off the name of the correctional institution.

Since the inmate will never receive the item how can I cancel these purchases without getting a defect?  Should I use the "issue with address" as the reason?  Will using that option create a problem for the buyer's home address when they make another purchase?

In other words, most eBay sellers cannot ship items to any inmate

Hi @b86fiero, in that situation you are fine to use the problem with address option when cancelling the transaction 🙂 It will not create a problem for the buyer or their address.

Hi @orkman - you can only have 250 variations within a single listing I'm afraid.

Still seeing that bug where eBay's system is randomly marking and unmarking things as shipped. I am up to four instances of it happening now. Hopefully it can be addressed with the many other bugs sellers are running into at the moment.

Hi @gwzcomps - I know that @Anonymous was working with you on this and was requesting screenshots. If you have those will you please get them over to him so he can dig into it? Thanks!

I think the screenshots would break board rules since they would contain buyer information.  I will try to email them on one of the older emails I have from Trinton.

Hi @gwzcomps - an email would be great - I'll let Trinton know to keep an eye out!

Something else I would love to see come back, as it was removed many years ago, is a link on our listings to close them if we need to.

Along with the links to revise a listing, sell a similar item or create shipping discounts, there once was a link to close / end the listing.

It sure would be handy to have that back as many times when reviewing a listing I see that I need to close it for one reason or another.  But we can't do it from the listing, we have to go back to the SH, active listings, call it up and then end it.

Just something that would save sellers some time.

Good insight @mam98031! I'll pass it along. 🙂

Hi @mcdougle4248, yes, this has been resolved. We have identified the impacted users and will further communication will be provided once we have a plan in place to address disruptions this may have caused for those sellers.
