There used to be a window that showed the code, with problem areas color-coded to show the nature of the error. ?.
Hi @vrykalak, it looks like @coffeebean832 has provided some added detail in post #20. You can also review some of the Community Team's past replies over the last year for more details on what content needs to be revised in your listings to avoid potential issues, or contact Customer Service for specific assistance on making revisions in bulk.

I haven't had any problems since you gave me the page to review my listings, in one of these chats, last year. This is the first such notice I have received since then.
I went to the URL you gave me last year, and encountered the issue I mentioned above. Then @coffeebean832 gave me a different URL, and that one shows the info I need.
I am amazed to see that I seem to have so many listings with problems, since I cleaned up all of my listings last year...but I will go ahead and fix them again...and I appreciate the help.

To eBay staff: Does eBay plan to have a 2 tiered system in Managed Payments or not?
To eBay sellers already in Managed Payments... is the current fee .25 per ITEM or per Order?
I need to know to figure out whether or not to continue selling on eBay or to move to something like facebook with my dollar and less items that make up the BULK of my eBay sales.

Hello! Yesterday the SEO function was removed from Terapeak. Does eBay have plans to bring that back? If so, when?
Thank you!

I think you meant this for the eBay support team and not for me specifically ... I am just posting my own questions here on the Weekly chat, you will need the eBay Support team to respond to your question directly. I copied today's eBay sponsor below for your convenience ...

I have reviewed. This may be what you were told,...I’m going by what is on the website.
The fees in question are from Feb 15th thru Mar 15th,......WHY would this be deferred to May and June??
That is not what it says.
Honestly, this discussion board is no more useful than the regular back and to emails with the reps. Now I have to keep searching for my message,....ebay has to get it together! This is insane.
Ebay needs to reverse those fees asap, with the $36 overdraft fee, otherwise in five days I’ll be hit with another $36 fee. This is crazy! Look at the website screen shot. My Feb 15th to Mar 15th, which was invoiced on Mar 31st, should have been divided into April and May. I DO NOT HAVE ANY MONEY!

Is it better to use as many possible "buzz" words (Brand Name) in listing title or does it loose effectiveness if listing name is too long and does the 2nd title option get just as many hits when a search is done for a particular item?
Hi @nomatchingshoes, the title should be used to clearly describe the item you are selling, and as such should only include the brand name of the item itself. Including unrelated brand names in your title can actually be considered a form of brand name misuse and would lead to listing removals and potential selling restrictions or suspensions.
As a general best practice, a seller should aim to use about 50-60 characters when possible of the listing title, and use a title that matches the keywords their buyer will use. If you are selling an item that is "New in box", while it the abbreviation "NIB" is commonly used by buyers in certain categories, it would be unknown to most in other categories. You can review sold listings on eBay for your item from other sellers to get an idea of what kind of listing practices are successful. The subtitle is also reviewed when a buyer searches for an item, along with the item specifics in your listing. You can find more advice in our Help Page related to optimizing your listings for Best Match search here.

@nomatchingshoes wrote:Can I choose the time frame upfront for a "Buy It Know" listing or "Auction" without ending the listing or is it a predetermined time frame?
Buy it now is an option that can be put on an auction.
Ebay has two types of listings Auctions and FP [fixed price] AKA GTC [good til cancelled].
There are various durations available for auctions which you should be able to see when you set one up.
GTC listings are as the name of the listing states. They are active and will renew as long as the listing has a quantity available for purchase unless you end the listings.

RE Managed payments:
Are there plans in place for a 2 tiered system on fees like with paypal?
For example PayPal has regular payments = 2.9% +.30 and Micro Payments of 5% +.05
Or are they going to stick with w/e it is now (still haven't figured out if it's .25 per item or per total order).
Hi @cynthealee2, no new fee structures have been announced. If you have been invited to join or are currently in managed payments then you can contact customer service for more information. You'll also find the current information about managed payments here.

25 cents per listing (unfortunately) but that's supposedly going to change. We don't know when yet or if it will even apply to all categories- but you can read what correction- Jordan Sweetnam Harry Temkin said about it in the Town Hall here-
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Seller-Town-Hall-where-are-the-written-responses/m-p/30710596
"There are a lot of different business models on eBay and when you intersect that with Payments, which is probably one of the hardest things we've ever done as a company, there are places that it's going to take us time to get it right, but I see no reason why we'd be ramping Payments without having a solution in place for sellers that are selling multiple items in an order. Yes, there is a cost to serve, that's inherent in running the platform, but I don't think that cost to serve scales if you're selling ten stamps, or ten baseball or hockey cards in an envelope that we need to charge you a fee per [item]. I can't tell you today what the solution is specifically because the short answer is we don't know, but I've definitely heard the feedback and it's not an area where I think it makes any sense for us to be increasing fees or certainly not putting sellers out of business. That makes no sense."
Nothing has been announced about a micropayments plan. That doesn't mean they won't add the option down the line but as of right now no plans have been announced.

Ebay fees they were deferring are for APRIL's bill.... March was due in full. eBay isn't going to put the money back.
You were approved on that day to have APRIL's fees deferred to the following 2 months.

Regarding SNAD returns. In the last seller update TRS sellers were supposed to have been given the opportunity to report false SNAD returns and request a shipping credit and removal of the feedback and other impacts of the return.
We have had two false SNAD claims that easily quality for benefits. One buyer claimed the item was not authentic but clearly disagreed with the grade of the grade and attribution from the ebay approved grader PCGS. They cited nothing in the return that even expressed an opinion about authenticity. Another buyer lied and said we sent them the wrong item in the return notes. They then clarified by email they received the correct item even citing the serial number from the pictured coin when we asked them which wrong coin we sent.
Both returns were reported though the new reporting hub both requests show received and neither has even been read or acted upon. Given that ebay is no longer offering phone support, what can I do? I am running out of time.
Hi @coinslabz26, I'm happy to clarify! The protections (shipping credit, feedback, and defect removal) will take effect on your next billing invoice date. To qualify for those protections you need to report the buyer, which it sounds like you've already done, and voluntarily refund the buyers. If these two steps are done then the protections will automatically take effect on your account in the timeframe I mentioned.
Thank you! So to clarify. Even though they say request received, I am not actually waiting for a response from anyone? I have sent the report and I have voluntarily refunded the buyer because they were 100% entitled to a full refund, only the selected reason was incorrect.
Hi @coinslabz26, that's correct, you do not need to receive a response about the report you filed. Sellers that qualify for these protections just need to report the buyer within the return or on Seller Help for filing a false Not As Described return and voluntarily refund the buyer. Nothing further is required from the seller.

I also wanted to ask 2 questions about reporting
- are auctions where the price has been run up to gouging level considered price gouging?
- if we find listings for banned items, do we still use the price gouging reporting? I could not find a better category. I'm good at finding hand sanitizer and wipes with create spelling 😁

@mam98031 wrote:It appears to me that Ebay has changed the process on refunding buyers when sales tax is part of the transaction. I’m not sure when it changed.
It was that if I refunded a buyer in full, the sales tax was auto added to the refund that the buyer receives and Ebay of course took care of that sales tax portion. It was also true that if I did a partial refund that the appropriate portion of the sales tax was auto added to the refund and Ebay again covered that portion.
But now it seems to have changed for partial refunds. If we want to partially refund our buyer how are we going to get this to work right. For example in the pic below. I want to refund my buyer $45 out of the money they paid me for the product. But if I put that in, as you can see, their total refund is $45 with the sales tax being part of the $45. It should be a refund of $45 PLUS sales tax. In other words the buyer should be seeing a refund of $48.42 [45.00 + 3.42].
Hi @mam98031, it looks like you are doing a partial refund through PayPal (correct me if I'm wrong). This is the correct way partial refunds work through PayPay, which is that the seller will need to calculate the tax and include the appropriate amount of tax in the 'Total Refund Amount' field.
That's not how it works ... the TOTAL refund field is what Sellers type in ... if you change THAT amount the other two amounts will change ... plus it states eBay is refunding the tax NOT the Seller. For myself the question would be, If I type in $ 45.00 per @mam98031 's example WHAT will the Buyer see on their PayPal transaction? The $ 41.58 from the Seller and then eBay sens ones for the $ 3.42?

Hello
I received an email yesterday from eBay titled "New managed payments option during unprecedented times"
In that email eBay announce that they were offering me the opportunity to "pre-register" with managed payments by verifying your business information and providing a bank account. We don't have a problem in general with eBay intermediating payments. But before we turn over our bank account as well as our business credentials we would like to see a term sheet showing us ALL OF THE FEES associated with Managed Payments. Specifically what are the fees associated with cross boarder trades (international sales) for both sellers as well as buyers. We have read every single page that eBay has made available on its site regarding Managed Payments, but no where does it detail what the fees are for currency conversions and how eBay will be calculating those rates. I do not feel like I or any other seller should have to provide my financial information BEFORE I am allowed to find out what ALL OF THE FEES are.
Here is a portion of the email that I received from eBay yesterday.
New managed payments option during unprecedented times
Date: March 31, 2020 at 2:01:44 PM CDT
Starting next month, we will offer the option to pre-register
In these extraordinary times, we want to support your business planning. As you may be aware, eBay continues to progressively enable sellers on managed payments in 2020, and has processed over $2B in payments already. Starting next month, we will be offering you an opportunity to pre-register your business for managed payments. Pre-registration allows you extra time to prepare your business, and for us to secure your enablement date as early as possible. Once you pre-register, nothing will change in your selling routine. Starting Late July, your account will be activated for managed payments, and we will notify you as your activation date approaches.
You can pre-register in a few simple steps, including verifying your business information and providing a bank account. The information you provide will allow us to send your payouts and comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and know-your-customer obligations, which helps keep eBay a trusted marketplace. You will be able to track your pre-registration progress on the Payments tab in Seller Hub.
FEES
Information on fees and how they are calculated will be made available as part of the pre-registration process. Most sellers can expect to see savings compared to their current payments processing fees. All sellers will also benefit from a consolidated billing structure and with more visibility into sales and payouts. With eBay managing your payments, you will pay payments processing fees only to eBay, and not separately to another processor. This means you will no longer pay fees directly to PayPal.
