Will they be adding the ability to search key words/SEO words for your itemto terapeak on ebay? They had it available on the terapeak before it became a part of ebay.

Good afternoon
On the sellers boards this past week sellers have seen a surge in listings that would generally be considered collectibles i.e. Minnie Mouse Ears, Video Games, etc. and not essential items being removed under the auspices of "Price Gouging"
I have read all of the posted eBay policies regarding Price gouging. But I have found that most of what is stated within those policy pages is very vague.
Price gouging policy
What is the policy?
- Items that are considered essential must be offered at a reasonable price
- Inflating the price of goods in response to an emergency or disaster is not allowed
- eBay may restrict the sale of items that are susceptible to price gouging behavior - for example, by only allowing items to be sold by authorized sellers
- Sellers must follow all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the sale of their items
In one of the treads from Monday @Anonymous stated "you can contact Customer Service to discuss your concerns."
I am looking to purchase new products to sell here and on other online marketplaces. I primarily sell collectible items. No food, No medical, No personnel protection. Just collectibles.
My question is if I contact eBay customer service either through email or by phone in advance before purchasing these products and discuss and diclose to them what those products are, what categories I am going to want to list them in, and what price I will be asking for these items and am told that yes those items are allowed to be sold at the prices that I stated; will I be able to take that CS reps word to the bank?
Can I be assured that if I were to do this that if those items are taken down after I have made a significant investment that I will be able to have them restored at the prices that I received authorization for in advance from customer service?
I am attempting to be proactive and not waste $1,000's of dollars for items that are not allowed on eBay.

I hope youre all well, its sad theres no way to contact anyone to talk about my issue here but ill do my best
this story started March 29th 2020, the buyer made an offer for the item (which was 150$ less than my original price) and we went back and forth until i accepted the offer for my item which was a little more reasonable.
Please take note, if you were to look on the buyers account you would see that they are currently and previously were selling the same item for MUCH more after they bought this additional set from me. I knew it was a possibility they were going to just do the same with the items they purchased from me and put an extreme mark up on them once they received them but that didnt matter to me. I needed the money i sold them for in order to pay some bills after recently losing my job due to this global crisis we are all currently experiencing.
So I sold it, they and right away they asked for two days to make payment - i said no problem, they didnt pay within that two days they asked for & an unpaid item case was opened against them, they paid two days later (total of four days).
I kept in touch reminding them to make payment and letting them know when i would be shipping it, how i would be shipping it and when it arrived i sent a mail to check in and make sure everything was ok.
A day later from that particular email they respond with two words, "Looks Different", so now im feeling like they will try to say that the items i sent to them are not exactly was described in my listing. I told them the only thing that i agree looks different is the backing for one of the pins in the picture is yellow but I noticed my mistake and put the correct, original (black) pin backing on it before i shipped the package.
The items are exactly as i described them and i have all the pictures and receipts and proof to show that i have done nothing wrong here.
I am sending you guys this message preemptively in case this buyer is trying to rip me off and get an unwarranted refund for bogus reasons. I have been an ebay member long time (20+ years) and never felt this negativity from any buyer throughout all of my transactions, my flawless buyer and seller feedback should prove im an honest seller/community member.
please help me, how do i avoid being ripped off here??
thank you for your time

Sellers should be allowed to send small items using First Class Letter post without being dinged for it. It makes no sense to send a $1 item in a $3 package.
The buyers prefer First Class Letter Post, of course, because it saves them money.
But we sellers are not allowed to provide it, because a demerit for shipping without tracking harms our status for 3 to 12 months.

Will ebay postpone being forced into managed payments until they have phone support?I got my email that I will be forced into managed payments in late July. Even for ebay this has to be the all time low!!To force sellers into a program that at the moment we have no phone support to call and talk to about this, no email that I could find to even email anyone. The entire country is in the middle of a stay at home order!!Banks are closed except for drive thru and online banking so no way to set up a checking account for this yet and from what little I have read since this whole managed payments has been a top secret and no one will talk to you about it until you are enrolled. I will have to submit 3 months of statements how can I do that when we are on a national shut down it will be May or June before I can go inside of a bank to open a checking account!!Why in the world would I sign up for anything, give out all of my personal info when I can't even talk to anyone about how this is going to work??See how the reports are with the managed payments? Can I download reports into my quick books, sales tax, refunds etc.I can do all of this in paypal very easily and my own credit card processor that I use now. I already know because I have been audited I need monthly reports from the credit card processing as well as bank reports. As I had to provide all of this to the IRS before.Even for ebay this has to be their all time low. We are in the middle of a national pandemic, everyone's lives have been turned upside town hundreds dying each day this has brought out the best and worst in people and I have to say it has brought out the very worst in ebay. That with everything going on right now you know your sellers are under a stay at home order also, many of us out of work except for ebay, family members sick or even worse dying and ebay can not postpone something this major until things go back to normal? or at least give us phone support and then give us the 3 month deadline.Since I am being forced in with no phone support, no one to talk to no email, pretty well sums up what ebay thinks of their sellers in a time of national crisis. Unbelievable!
Hi @dm2756, thanks for raising these concerns with us. We'll definitely pass this feedback to the payments team.

Can we set up a Weekly Chat devoted to MP this month? The sooner the better. There are many questions out there and often what appears on various threads is old out of date info and it is scary to some who think the old problems still exist.
Since those of us that have been told we are going into MP still haven't received any detailed information on MP like the User guide, which does exist. We need some help. I fear that Ebay won't release that guide to us, for whatever reason they have, until just before the date we are required to start.
That is burdensome and unfair. The information is available, it should be shared. We should be given the opportunity to study it and prepare for such a significant change which is likely to have impacts to how we keep are books and other impacts.
I honestly don't understand why Ebay is reluctant to share this info with us and allow us time to prepare our little businesses.

Below is a screen shot of one of my 4000 listings, all with the same issues. First my cut off time for same day shipping is 11:00AM EST. This screen shot below is from today at 4:05PM Why is there a count down timer for 52mins. My same day shipping time was cut off 5 hours ago.
Second issue, I ship UPS Ground, UPS Ground from and to the same zip code is guaranteed by UPS to be delivered in ONE day. eBay is displaying Apr 14 when is should be showing Arpil 10th. This is FOUR days longer than reality.
Very Frustrated,
John Norman

I've never seen or heard of a user guide for MP and I'm in the program. Can you provide a link to where you read this so I can find out if there's some big piece of info I'm missing?
I do have a link to the new TOS if anybody wants to read that-

Hi @mam98031,
Thanks for raising this again. I know there is an appetite from the community to speak directly with the payments team. I've raised this internally and we should have news to share regarding a community chat with the payments team soon.
