Is it possible as a seller who is not a high volume seller to be able to post more than 12 photos in the listings?

Would you explain this to me please?
My bank account was debited last night and overdrew my bank account.
By the email, I was approved on March 27th for deferral.
From ebay rep
“Upon checking your account, since your request was approved last March 27, 2020 and you’re under cycle 15 ( invoice is from the 15 of last month- 16th of current month) 50% of the covered fees will be billed as part of your April invoice and the remaining 50% as part of May invoice.”
I’ve asked for a reversal on those fees, but I am just getting the run around with emails that keep coming from different reps. It is very frustrating. Ebay promised to help, not make it worse.
I also incurred a $36 overdraft fee and in five days another $36 bank fee for extended overdraft.
Hi @vintagemodernglam, happy to clarify - the fee deferral program would not have apply to your March 15th invoice. Depending on a seller's billing cycle and when they are approved, a seller's invoice that was generated on either March 31st or April 15th would either be split across either their April & May invoices, or their May & June invoices respectively.
You can review the details of the program here: https://www.ebay.com/sh/sdb Based on what you have shared here, since you are on a Mid-Month invoice cycle, your eligible fees would be deferred across your May and June invoices, 50% in each. For those on the Mid-Month cycle, the date of approval would not effect how their fees are deferred, since the program does not apply to their March 15th invoice and applications must be received prior to their April 15th invoice. For sellers who are on the End-of-the Month billing cycle, the date they are approved may have an impact on how their fees are deferred (as outlined on the link I shared).

eBay catches up with them sooner rather than later and they end up with the defect... faster when the sellers complain about it.

And I confident Ebay takes it seriously as they are actively removing 10’s of 1,000’s of listings. I know we discussed this some last week and I found it informative. I do still have one question.
The announcement Ebay made said certain items were BANNED from the site, yet new listings by sellers that are clearly not on their preapproved list for the items keep happening over and over again. Increasing Ebay’s workload to manage the site and increases the stress of those members that see these listings continuing to get posted.
The announcement said in part:
Effective immediately, eBay will block new listings and start to remove listings that sell:
- Health care masks including N95/N100 and surgical masks
- Hand Sanitizer/Gel
- Disinfecting Wipes
But that isn’t what is happening because we have lots and lots of new listings.
Hi @mam98031, we are doing our best to address this, but as you know there are those who seek ways to circumvent our blocks to list items. We are proactively working to remove violating listings on the site. If you see listings that shouldn't be on the site then please report them.
Brian,
Does it really help to report them? I know it makes me feel like I am doing something, maybe, but if I'm just causing someone more work by having to review the reports, I don't want to do that.

I have a second concern a I paid for a purchase with my eBay credit card using eBay as the checkout (not PayPal) for the first time. A seller needed to cancel the transaction for nefarious reasons, and asked me to accept a refund thru paypal, not eBay, because they said it was impossible for them to do that.
I went thru with the transaction, but I ended up not getting a full refund because I had to pay paypal fees. So, again, I'm just shopping at eBay in order to give away money for nothing but headache in return.

I know I'm not the eBay team but I can answer your question. You're talking about ShipScript's active content scanner- https://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentSandbox.htm?383443035672
Look above the Scan Summary box to the listing details box. Under the actions column there's a button to Examine- which shows the color coding you're talking about. That is not your only listing that needs to be revised- the scanner shows 128 with target issues, 63 with non-eBay links and 52 with SSL issues.
Cool! That's a different URL than I used before, but it has the view capabilities I recall from before. Thanks!

Does it hurt my seller performance rating to end a listing for any reason including just because I changed my mind about wanting to sell the item?

Use a 3rd party lister... with Auctiva you can get up to 24 pictures inside the description area without having to learn code.

I absolutely understand that and while others frequently say on the threads that Ebay isn't doing anything, I know that not to be true. But my point was much of those posters are seeing all these new listings and thinking they have been there for awhile instead of noticing they are new listings.
In the announcement Ebay said EBAY WILL BLOCK NEW LISTINGS for those items stated. That is NOT happening. My question is WHY?

Can I choose the time frame upfront for a "Buy It Know" listing or "Auction" without ending the listing or is it a predetermined time frame?

Subject: eBay needs to delay July Managed Payments indoctrination
If I had a direct feed to eBay’s upper management this message would be directed to them. But since I don’t you are the next best thing (please don’t feel slighted by that, it’s not intended to be one) and my hope is this is passed on to them.
It makes sense for eBay to postpone the July indoctrination of more accounts getting placed in Managed Payments. Currently eBay has no phone support to my knowledge as reported on numerous threads here on The Community and there is no guarantee with the Covid-19 pandemic that it will be restored by July or if some is restores it may not be adequate enough to support the needs of regular calls as well as those new to MP.
With California’s Covid-19 quarantine rules I suspect that eBay’s main offices is pretty much a ghost town and I doubt there is anybody or very few people working on the program. Managed Payments is not a completely debugged system as reported on numerous threads here on The Community so it makes sense to postpone the next buildup of accounts until such time that all departments are back in 100% capacity and on location at their normal business offices.
Additionally, is there one place to go and see the status of ALL issues with the program and what it’s progress and the features and benefits currently implemented and the wish list for the future?
Mr. L
Hi @mr_lincoln - thanks for sharing your opinions! A few comments:
Managed Payments is a program that continues to be worked on - and our goal is to make sure that the transition is seamless for those accounts invited to pre-register. There has not been any plan that I'm aware of to alter or delay the roll out of invitations.
There isn't a place to view the ongoing projects and improvements for Payments, but a large portion of the Spring Seller Update was about their plans. You can review those here. Thanks!
First red highlight above ... my point exactly, it is not a completed and debugged program .
2nd red Highlight above ... "thanks" if you are able or willing to pass these concerns on to those making decisions regarding the program
I read the link provided from the Seller update ... there was no mention of any support documentation on transaction history for tax reporting purposes ... this year I have to report sales to my state quarterly. I have read some threads on The Community that MP only keeps records for 90 days and then someone else posted they keep it longer ... the bottom line question is WHAT does MP keep and for HOW LONG and in WHAT format? pdf file? CSV formatted date range programmable database? Excel spreadsheet? These are all very reasonable requests when looking at a complete eBay business and not just making it easy for Buyers to pay ...

Thanks for the response, I find it difficult to believe that eBay is efficient in only that one area of AI.

@coinslabz26 wrote:Ebay was somewhat cryptic on the fact that they were giving protections during the current pandemic spreading like wildfire around the nation.
Ebay has stated they will not down grade sellers status during this time, but are they counting late shipments against us? The only way I can have packages scanned is at the counter and it feels unsafe to wait on line.
My regular mail carrier has not been working and the floaters do not always scan packages when pickup is requested. Similarly when packages are dropped in the collection bin they don't always get scanned on time, even though transit times aren't typically effected in either case.
Is the only way to ensure on time delivery to take my chances and wait on line as usual or are we going to be protected from late shipments during this time where I can drop packages after hours in the collection bin?Hi @coinslabz26 - happy to clarify! On-time Shipping as a metric has not been suspended. This means you can still get credit by either getting an acceptance scan within your handling time, having the item scan as delivered within the estimated delivery date given to your buyer or having the buyer state they received the item on time when leaving feedback.
With that being said - if your Late Shipment Rate does increase, it will not impact your seller level, per our announcement from a few weeks ago (link here).
Thank you. A follow up question. Will a late shipment now start impacting my seller performance after 90 days or will they be de-scored and not count towards my yearly metric. Example if I have 1 late shipment today will it effect my % after the 90 days.
My current late shipment rate is 0.0% going back to April 2019. Will a late shipment today for example effect my % in say December 2020. Or will it still show 0.0% because late shipments during this time were not counted? This assumes of course I don't have any late shipments after the 90 days

Hi @vrykalak, it looks like @coffeebean832 has provided some added detail in post #20. You can also review some of the Community Team's past replies over the last year for more details on what content needs to be revised in your listings to avoid potential issues, or contact Customer Service for specific assistance on making revisions in bulk.

I have reviewed. This may be what you were told,...I’m going by what is on the website.
The fees in question are from Feb 15th thru Mar 15th,......WHY would this be deferred to May and June??
That is not what it says.
