Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

My account finally got fixed, ebay staff was always very friendly especially the last person I talked to, she was great!!! I like the option where it takes the shipping label price out of your payouts before it sends it to the bank, makes it easier!! I had a return and was worried how that would work but it was super easy!!

They charges 12.35% fees on the shipping and the sales tax.  So Ebay is profiting on sales tax.

You hit the nail right on the head!

Managed payments is nothing but a pure money play at our expense.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

You said it all, get this, late last week I shipped 2 orders and then 2 more orders were shipped (total of 4) and as of this AM not one pay out has been sent to my email from Ebay, a total of over $600.00? I am set up for daily pay-outs but Ebay doesn't seem to know this. Last week there was an Ebay "problem" where the pay-out never got to my bank?? WOW just like 1992, I think the next move is crank phones and stage coaches with a cash box.   bubba

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

I too have been overcharged for eBay FedEx shipping. This has been fixed from the FedEx side and I will dispute the charges with Paypal's resolution center when the money leaves the account. But you make a good point. This is a much larger issue. It's one thing to cover the recourse to the carrier base, quite another to cover an authorized payments processor with access to your bank account. In the event of fraudulent charges, the bank will say you gave eBay authorization to give Adyen access.

It makes no sense.

The gas station and Wally fronted you the merchandise as does PP with money.

I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

This new system sucks.   I sold my items on Friday.   I then was paid Friday evening and Saturday for the items.   Because Saturday isn't a business day my funds didn't become available till Tuesday.    On tuesday I get another email from eBay saying my funds will be deposited in 3-4 days.   **bleep**.

I'm not going to sell on eBay if it takes a week to be paid.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

I thought shipping was supposed to come out of the payment? I was charged shipping through PayPal, but haven't received payment yet. So now I am out the cost of shipping my items until ebay chooses to pay me? I'm going to sell my items elsewhere if this is the new normal. In addition, I purchased an item last week and paid immediately. The next day the seller canceled the sale. I still haven't received my refund. The seller refunded it immediately but PayPal says it's on hold. Just what I need at Christmas time. All my money tied up with ebay and PayPal.

This is the primary reason I don't trust eBay with access to a checking account, let alone SSN or EIN. They make too many mistakes. This FedEx thing among many other issues, the bottom line is you will have no recourse when they make their usual 'mistakes'.

The fact that random FedEx charges can show up an indefinite amount of time later doesn't help. I've seen them come in 8 months late, for an item eBay doesn't even have info on anymore.

Not with a checking account. No way

I called FedEx again with the tracking number and asked if they'd email copy of their own corrected weight and dimensions.

They say, "No".

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

I hate this new managed payment **bleep** that's forced upon us. When I sell an item I like you see the funds available to me like it was previously with Paypal. We should at least have an option to still get paid via Paypal. I AM NOT SHIPPING my item until I get my funds, this will greatly reduce service satisfaction and positive feedbacks on eBay because I know many sellers who shares the same sentiment. This is very inconvenient for sellers. I HATE IT!!!

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

Thanks. Funny, but that option wasn't there before. Well, that's one good thing, now if only I wasn't so worried the rest of the money will never make it to my bank account. 😕

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

This new system never works right. my funds are constantly on hold and I don’t know why. the screens are very confusing I have a -63 dollars available to me on my account and it says I owe $14. I have absolutely no idea what any of this means. I had one refund that I already paid through my bank. My payout says  I have money available but there is no date when it is supposed to be released.
