I know all of the message folders are purged every six months and none
can really be deleted but one thing puzzles me. I understand Ebay needs
to save contact between buyers and sellers in the event of a dispute or
some such, but not being able to PE...
Egads, getting EVERY single transaction in my Ebay messages is
sufficient, getting them echoed to my personal Email account is not
necessary. How can I stop them from coming to my Email address?
Being a LONGTIME member I had thousands of positive feedback, all gone.
Now I can LEAVE feedback but I have no idea if the seller did... so I
leave nothing. Ebay, you screwed up.

Understood but why do I have to handle them at all? Ideally I'd like to
stop ALL Ebay generated messages from ever entering my Ebay space.
PS, clearly Ebay purges these folders for a good reason and I expect
it's to prevent messages from consuming valuable storage space, so that
further adds to the "it makes no sense" to keep unwanted messages where
no user / seller dispute could be req...

and right after a redirect I get a self extinguishing cookie (goes away
in under a minute) from addmitad...
When I select messages, purchases, bids and offers, watchlist or
shopping cart one out of 3 or 4 times I get redirected to Ebay's home /
start page with listings displayed of items I have in my watch list.
Sounds to me pretty much what Dave78's issue...
