Hello Ebay Community and I hope Ebay Customer Service:

I want to report that starting June 01 and continuing through July 05 2018 Page Views are still "broken" showing "-" more than 85% of the time.

Could I get a reply/answer/assurance from anyone from Ebay monitoring this channel?

I saw the announcement from corporate on July 3rd that page views were fixed. And they were for most of that day. But beginning the next day and continuing today they still arent on either of my iphone mobile devices.

No not fixed yet, If I am not receving views , It means no one is seeing my listing, and my sales show this . No sales in 30+days. When I click on my items , it's not even counting my views, My items just keep falling off....No Sales. Are they going to fix this?

There is, shall we say, considerable interest (hope you like that better!) in the view counter glitch because sales are also down, although Ebay has said that it is just the counter that isn't working. IOW you are still getting views, they are just not tabulating.

Views at least assure a seller that their listing is being seen. Sales can't happen if the item isn't being seen.

Now it has been said that listings are still being viewed, just the view count is not tabulating. But sales are down.

Well, numbers are showing up intermittently now, instead of "--" every time, but I don't think the numbers that are showing up are accurate.

I ran a little test. I opened up a second browser, not signed into my account, and viewed several of my items. Went back to my regular browser (Chrome), reloaded the "My eBay" page, and the "views" did not change. They should have showed an additional view on the items I looked at in the "unsigned in" browser, but they didn't.

Two pieces still show as having "0" views, even though I did go to the pages, which should have generated a bump in number, at the least.

And these are two of the things that have also had the mysterious "No views, but watchers" thing happen to them.

And when I hit "reload" to see if it might have been a delayed reaction, I now get "--" everywhere.

SO...the numbers are intermittently "back" , sort of, but they are not "correct".

Haha, no kidding!

Remember those odometer looking view counters that were introduced in very early web programming? (Because programers realized THE IMPORTANCE of knowing how many people are actually LOOKING at a web page)

...I was thinking of putting one in my listing description. 🙂

Can't believe some don't see why a view count is important. It takes all kinds.

As of yesterday, July 5th - mine were fixed. What a delight to see them again!

Something weird happened last night as well. My searches for which I receive email notifications started showing tons more "new" listings. They aren't all new, but it seems fixing the counter unclogged the drain so-to-speak.

Since I have listed 24 items not listed before over the past week and as of this morning all but one have dashes or zeroes in the view field, I would say ebay has fixed nothing. The thing is that my listings scheduled to end this week have somewhat normal "views" - no dashes or zero views.

Back to "--" again this morning. Re-load the page about eight times, and "numbers" show, but they are in no way correct.

This is maddening.

It is frustrating but you are getting views most likely because I have people watching my items while the view count is still at zero. I also have had a few sales this month.

I guess one thing to remember is that this "vacation time" for people, but that doesn't explain why I've only got two items out of 162 that have bids. Things have slowed to a dangerous level for me. I'm still trying to cover July's rent. June was terrible as far as sales.

I spoke to soon. The view counter worked for a full day, now I'm back to random dots or numbers that don't accumulate current views.

A thank you to Ebay. My page views have been working consistently for the past approximately two days. Please know it makes a big difference to me to see how many people are viewing a listing. It lets me know right away if theres a problem (bad photos, too high a price, wrong keywords, etc etc). So I really value that they are working again and hope they are able to stay working.
