Hey - Got a sellers "special" from eBay that was a reduced/capped FV fee for up to 5 high priced items. So not one to look a gift horse in the mouth I listed 5 items that would greatly benefit from the reduced fee.
I got lucky and sold one item right away at the end of my billing period and indeed saved around $10 in FV fees. Rapidly and gladly paid that invoice!
Anyway the listings ended and I am wondering IF I do relist them will the special still apply? I read the T&C of the offer several times and the only deadline I could find was the short window one was allowed to list items. So do I assume the deal rolls over with relisting or is this the "catch" of eBay special offers?
Thanks for any kind help!

The relists would not be eligible. Only listings that began during the eligibility period.
Usually those offers are for free or discounted FVF on the first 5 items that sell, out of whatever you list during that period. So next time, check the terms; you might want to list more than 5 items (but of course avoid listing lower-price items).

Good point and valuable lesson! I admit, I did not read that part closely enough and could have listed more than 5 items! So they want you to list a whole bunch of high-priced stuff and you get the discount on the first 5 items that sell, hoping you sell 6 or more.
Now not trying to be pedantic, but IF I had checked the auto-relist button when I listed the items, that still would have been considered a new listing as of the relisting date and thus the dicounted FVF not available? Kinda seems like that should be mentioned in the T&C? No?

I would not assume that it would roll over. Is the promotion listed on your my eBay or seller hub page?
That is an interesting question. Yes, the promotion shows up somewhere in the seller dashboard. (can't find it again)
Actually when I listed the items, { I had previously signed up for the promotion}, the confirmation email didn't indicate the item was included, in fact it said I still had 5 items remaining in the promotion and I should use it. That was teh same on all 5-items I listed. It was so convoluted that I did not know for a fact that the items I listed were included in the promotion. The only thing thta confirmed it was when I sold an item and I checked my eBay invoice.
But hey, next time I will read more closely and list more items. Wish the T&C included a statement about auto relisting.

Because none of the items had sold yet. The promotion is applied when an item sells, not when it is listed. After one of the items sells, you will still have 4 items remaining for the promotion and so on.

They probably thought they had covered that when they said that only listings that begin during the promotion were eligible.
