I sold an item and the buyer paid the shipping cost. I bought an eBay label so I also paid the shipping cost. After deducting the eBay fee shouldn't I net an amount equal to the bid minus the fee? My label cost should be canceled because the buyer is paying for shipping. The buyer paid $139 (including shipping cost) and the eBay fee was $19. eBay told me my net was $113 yet they only sent me $80. Why??

Remember, the Payout is not determined "per sale"...there may be other "transactions" within the payout from other "sales"
(in other words, multiple transactions can be included in a payout)
Look here to see why/how the final number was determined.....
Click the "Payout ID" on the line with the number you are checking....

Item + shipping + tax = fee. ...and then minus shipping.
Plus .30 cents.
International there is an additional charge besides domestic charge.

Were you promoting that listing?

Was that the Ping driver?
You charged $16.88 for shipping.
Sounds too low.
What was the actual cost for the shipping?

Buyer paid you for shipping; you then purchase that label. Label cost is NOT cancelled!! it's Included in the Total that ebay uses:
Ebay CHARGES their FEE on the TOTAL paid by the customer; Item+Shipping+Sales Tax x 13.25% (or so depending on category).
It's all RIGHT there when you click the "LIST IT" button:

You charged the buyer for shipping, the buyer paid YOU, you used that money to buy a shipping label.
The buyer paid $139, eBay took their fees, you bought a shipping label, the balance is yours. Looks like you actually paid $33 for the shipping, probably due to the surcharge for being over 30" in length.

Can you give use a screenshot of the transaction breakdown? It might provide us with more information.

If the actual shipping was MORE than what he charged the buyer, that much will be coming out of his "cut".

I was not promoting the item.

That was the actual cost of shipping.

That sounds logical but I can't understand how or why it went from $139 to $80. Fees and shipping don't account for the $59.

What did you pay for the shipping label?

By sent, I assume you mean sent to your bank account.
There could have been other charges subtracted from your $113.......labels for instance for another sale that had not yet been processed............????

Do these help?

This helps somewhat. Have you looked at the Payments tab for payouts detail?
