Ebay labels say "hazmat" on them

This is a first.  I use bulk shipping and all my labels are marked hazmat.  I thought maybe I had clicked on something that would have done this but I went back in and purchased an extra label on one just to see and it clearly says "no hazmat material" yet when the label is generated it says "hazmat".  Anyone else having this experience?

Re: Ebay labels say "hazmat" on them

Same issue here...Labels printed last night were fine. 5 labels I printed this morning (bulk & individual) all say hazmat...They are all ground shipments anyway so do I just ship them??? Hoping someone chimes in who knows how to proceed

Re: Ebay labels say "hazmat" on them

I think it's a personal choice. According to what I read HAZMAT shipments will ship slower than a regular ground shipment so if you aren't concerned about slower shipping times and the possible impact of that on feedback or customer satisfaction go ahead and proceed.

I have cancelled all my HAZMAT labels and I am going to wait and re-print once the bug gets fixed.

Same issue here. Priority Mail seems to be printing fine but ground advantage comes up Hazmat.

So you think once the bug is fixed you will be able to simply reprint the label (same tracking info) or you are voiding these labels and purchasing new labels?

I am having the same problem. I don't want to have to reprint. I will talk to the post office and see if they can do anything there.

You almost certainly will have to void the old labels and print new ones. Typically takes 2-3 weeks to get refunded on the voided labels.

Re: Ebay labels say "hazmat" on them

Is anyone just going to ship using these?  That's what I was thinking of doing.  I can mark out the Hazmat verbiage, but don't think I better mess with the big H.   I can also write NOT HAZMAT on the label if that would help.

Same problem here.  Not bulk shipping here, just individual labels.  I'm gonna ship as is.  Hopefully no problems with the post office.

Re: Ebay labels say "hazmat" on them

I wouldn't ship them "as is". It's too close to Christmas and we've been having too many delays with USPS. Adding a "Hazmat" on the label is going to delay it even further. Some chance these don't get to customers by X-Mas which would be a huge problem.

Re: Ebay labels say "hazmat" on them

Same, I just printed 4 labels that said Hazmat. I then voided them all, thinking it was my mistake. Then I bought another label and it did the same. I don't know if I should just buy and ship them with the Hazmat label but it seems embarrassing and confusing to everyone involved. I would love to know when or if that gets resolved.

That is what I figured, thank you! Wish I would've caught it after the first two labels but didn't notice it until the next batch of 3.

Re: Ebay labels say "hazmat" on them

I would love to redo all my labels but I spent over $200 on bulk labels with eBay and do not want to have $200 in limbo waiting for them to all be refunded in 3 weeks.

Aaargh I can fully understand that. Not sure exactly what the labels look like but may be a case where you could take the items to the PO and talk to the Post Master. See if you can just use a sharpie to block out the hazmat or if there is a way you can ship these without them having to go through the special labeling and handling required for the packages. Looks like most of the labels are ground advantage anyway. Ground advantage does not always travel ground even though that is what is on the label but hazmat would, I believe, force it to do so possibly extending delivery time.
