I'm having a problem with expansive items not being returned to me. let me explain what's going on
item was never returned to the address that eBay has on file.
Buyer: bought this iPhone 12 Pro Max on Sep 4th This item was shipped out Sep 7th by USPS and DELIVERED Sep 10th at 1:54 PM in PORTLAND, OR 97XXX
Then the buyer open a return Return started on Sep 8th and Shipped back to me on Sep 11.
Now, this is where the Scam comes into play. This item was returned from COLUMBUS, OH 432XX at 3:23pm But the original package that was delivered PORTLAND, OR 972XX (a completely different state)
Now it gets worse. The buyer will not use the original pre-paid USPS label eBay offers because this package will get delivered directly to me ( the correct address) SO they look up another address in Brooklyn NY 112XX and ship something to the address in Brooklyn, NY 112XX. Then they call eBay and say my package was delivered and ask for a refund. and then I get an email saying your funds are on hold. The next thing I see eBay gave a full refund to the buyer.
In one case the item was sent back to me even before the original item was delivered
This has happened to me now 3 times in the last 30 days
non used the pre-paid label eBay provided
And from what I can see this will keep happing again and again. Please help me

Stop offering returns, paid or buyer paid. Presto your problem is solved and with all the money you will be saving from the returns and the loss of product you'll be able to offer lower prices and make even more sales

This is a new one. You may actually WIN this case and get fully reimbursed since it did NOT go to your address. As you PROBABLY already know. Any buyer can open a return under MBG and return ANYTHING or your item damaged and then be reimbursed. Best you could do was to issue the 50% refund and at least save that much. IF you had your return policy correct. If you contest the return you will automatically lose and lose the possible 50%

Not accepting returns would not have stopped this thief, they would simply have opened a SNAD return and nothing would have changed.

Simply don't accept returns on your venue title and on description explain the following;
Due to extreme measures taken by Buyers to abuse our Return Policy, we no longer accept returns as a policy, however, if you have any problems with what you buy from us, or item is not as described, we'll fully honor your request and will send you a free shipping label
Essentially don't offer returns but keep the doors open for legit disputes
I had the same problem like you. I saw, Buyers purchasing Diamonds and switching them with synthetics to return them ... I know my sales will to go up if I accept returns but I feel the loss will be higher than possible gains

Yep, you are 100% correct. that open the return and said the phone was broken. The sad thing is eBay don't help.

This site did work for UPS. I was able to track down the box. It was delivered 10 blocks away from me. But now eBay said the case was appealed and denied so it cant be re open . I think that's just crazy

I just lost a return case on a $1000 macbook today. Item was delivered Friday with signature confirmation. Buyer opened a return request saying .....i need refund you sent empty box. No pictures no evidence whatsoever. So I escalated the case yesterday. The buyers name was Russian with a address in Delaware but the account said it was based in India.....big red flag there and no feedback left in over a year. I called Ebay this morning and the first person I talked to said yes the account looked suspect and would probably get shut down. So she transfers me to escalation and they end up sending the buyer a shipping label and said.....dont worry he wont ship it back and you will win the case. 2 hours later they closed the case in the buyers favor saying he provided evidence from law enforcement that he received a empty box meanwhile I have a receipt that shows the box weighed 6 pounds. They didnt even provide me with the evidence submitted so I could see if it was legit. I average around 150k a year on ebay but may have to shut down and look at other options. Do any of you remember the good ole days when paypal would cover this automatically? The item was signed for then 6 hours later he opened a case. It went to a reshipper according to the ebay agent I talked to this morning. Now I have to call apple to have the macbook locked( i have the serial number) but im still out a grand. I called back for the 4th time in a week and they said they would send in a apeal. Ebay why cant you have our back like paypal did? You are requiring signature confirmation on items over $750......why? If you wont back us up like paypal did whats the point.

I understand your frustration. Im now down $3980 and just had a case that was closed today with buyer said empty box and he bought 2 iphones so I sent them out Separately but till same outcome. Ebay said he has proof from law enforcement. I asked for a copy but they can't provide it. Im really frustrated and not sure what to do with all the case's .

Was anything that you were recently scammed out of insured? Starting now for any of my items that sell for over $500 im only going to use UPS and its also going to be insured since signature confirmation doesnt protect us anymore. Im going to call UPS today and give them the open box scam scenerio that I just experienced and make sure im covered if this happened. Im also cancelling any order that has a Russian name going to any address in the Northeast.....especially re shipper addresses out of Delaware and im also going to screen my payments. If I see a international fee in the payments section.......cancelling the order. Not sure if future defects or the scammers will shut down my business first but after todays loss im drawing my line in the sand.

You don't need the address it was delivered to, just notification that it was delivered to an address that is not yours.

Not accepting returns will guarantee scammers will buy from them.

I have used Ship24.com. When you input the tracking number it will show the carrier's tracking with the exact street address, city, state and zip code. It will also show the dimensions and weight of the package. It will show the tracking history as well from origin to delivery. Unfortunately, it does not show the names of shipper or recipient.

I just used it with a recent tracking number and no address was shown.

He already lost. "Actually he isn't going to WIN this case"
eBay ripped him off, happens hundreds of times a day.
