I'm having a problem with expansive items not being returned to me. let me explain what's going on
item was never returned to the address that eBay has on file.
Buyer: bought this iPhone 12 Pro Max on Sep 4th This item was shipped out Sep 7th by USPS and DELIVERED Sep 10th at 1:54 PM in PORTLAND, OR 97XXX
Then the buyer open a return Return started on Sep 8th and Shipped back to me on Sep 11.
Now, this is where the Scam comes into play. This item was returned from COLUMBUS, OH 432XX at 3:23pm But the original package that was delivered PORTLAND, OR 972XX (a completely different state)
Now it gets worse. The buyer will not use the original pre-paid USPS label eBay offers because this package will get delivered directly to me ( the correct address) SO they look up another address in Brooklyn NY 112XX and ship something to the address in Brooklyn, NY 112XX. Then they call eBay and say my package was delivered and ask for a refund. and then I get an email saying your funds are on hold. The next thing I see eBay gave a full refund to the buyer.
In one case the item was sent back to me even before the original item was delivered
This has happened to me now 3 times in the last 30 days
non used the pre-paid label eBay provided
And from what I can see this will keep happing again and again. Please help me

Well that is very good to know. ESPECIALLY THE EXACT STREET ADDRESS.

This is really unfortunate and the only thing I could tell you is cease and desist selling those phones on here. They have been a completely enormous problem on here with no real solution for a smaller seller. Just disgusting.

That is what I thought because that is deemed confidential.

I did use this site and it worked with UPS. ( not for usps) i was able to pull of the full address for 1 of the 3 package so i did get a refund back form ebay for one.

Hi,
Did you receive only 1 empty envelope or many from unrelated customers over time? We are having the same issue and have kept record or each one. We have over 150 cases like this since 2020 started. This passed summer we began requiring ID from buyers and it has worked! We eliminated 99.99 percent of these returns however ebay has recently threatened to shut us down if we don't cease with these requests.

I understand the problem which is why I use the following website. It shows the exact delivery address, weight and dimensions of the package. Online proof for eBay to see.

I have used ship24.com. I purchased a 2 ounce bottle glue that never arrived. My seller 's UPS tracking number showed that my package was delivered. With Ship24. com I was able to see that the package was sent to a different address in my town and that it was a 12 pound box with the specific dimensions.

Since eBay's Managed Payment Program began sellers can no longer block international buyers using freight forwarders. If you check the payment details for an international transaction fee, the buyers profile for their location and the shipping address you can figure it out. I won't sell to buyers who use a specific Freight Forwarder in Delaware that used by scammers. Depending on the item I may still ship, but not high value items. I know that eBay doesn't protect sellers so it's up to you to minimize risk. I have canceled citing a problem with the buyer's address. The most recent one had me laughing as they used the name of Harriet Beecher Stowe. But the payment details showed the real name. Fortunately, I have read Little Women and knew the author's name. I canceled the transaction. About ten days later I get a message from eBay telling me not to ship as the buyer was no longer a registered user.
