Did you mean:

**bleep** is this update account details thing

So I got an invitation to "update my account details" and it was just a ploy to get my bank account details and agree to higher fees and to have fees deducted from my bank account. No thank you. I prefer them though another method. I have separate payment methods and they have worked all these years. Did I read the invitation right?

Can I keep my original method of payment for fees and do i ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO enroll in managed payments???

**bleep** is this???

Managed Payment or nothing... sorry thats the option once you are invited.

Many people open a seperate checking account for this.

Not sure what you mean by "higher fees and deducted from your bank account"

You may want to reread that section.

Good Luck!

it actually says that the fees are 12.35% instead of $10% for when an item sells, could you reread that and let me know>

Re: **bleep** is this update account details thing

you have to go to MP........no choice

Fees, as of now...........FVF and promotional fees are deducted from the sale amount that will be deposited in your bank account, the others.........store fees, upgrades are still billed to the invoice......however you designate to pay that........paypal, cc, etc.

FVFees are not much, if any greater than the total of ebay + paypal fees are......  If you have TRS+ on listings and get the discount, you now get it on total amount of the sale, rather than just the sale amount........that is deducted from the fvf before they are deducted from the sale amount.

They need your bank account routing info to be able to send the money to your bank account and your ss because of federal rules.........

Ebay has said they want to deduct all the charges from the sale amount in the future, but they have not indicated how/when that will happen.

Ebay fees under MP  are 12.35%.

Ebay fees without MP are 10% or less (except for media which is 12%)  PLUS 30 cents plus 2.9% for Paypal, so without MP you are paying at least 12.9% plus the 30 cents.

Almost identical.

No ploy. But doable. Think long, think wrong... and good luck.

Re: **bleep** is this update account details thing

Welcome to the "new" FEEBAY...I sold and shipped my last item here due to this 'Managed Payment"  BLEEP!!!

( That's the word they want us to use 'cause they can't stand to hear how we really feel)...be that as it may...ebay without my permission changed all my present listings to managed payment and then intercepted my funds from paypal and after 10years and being a "top seller" (big deal to that), they all of a sudden have to verify me...WHATCH OUT FOLKS...WHAT WILL THEY REALLY BE DOING WITH ALL OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION...YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY # IS BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR EMPLOYER AND THE THE FOLKS THAT YOU PAY YOUR TAXES TO...last I checked I don't work for these bums that I've supported all these years!!!

Good Luck to those who want to stay!!

This was announced 3 years ago. As pointed out by southern sweet tea, your fees may go slightly up or down- but it won't be a huge difference unless you sell huge volume.

You must give bank account details and you must agree, or you will not be allowed to continue selling here for much longer.

No thank you.

Good luck on whatever new venue you move to.

I prefer them though another method.

What you prefer does not matter to eBay.

Can I keep my original method of payment for fees

Not for much longer.

do i ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO enroll in managed payments?

Only if you want to continue selling on eBay.

**bleep** is this???

This what happens when the eBay community cheers on corporate raiders who claim they will "fix" the venue.

"That'll shake things up!" the crowd yelled.

"That'll show eBay!" the crowd roared.

"About time someone did something like this!" the crowd cheered.

"There's a new sheriff in town!" the mob chanted.

"eBay and PayPal were double-dipping!" the mob cried as PayPal's head rolled.

"Hey ... where did Carl Icahn go?" the mob wondered.

"Wait ... sellers won't be able to use PayPal on eBay anymore?" the mob realized.
