eBay default notification sound

Since I updated the eBay App I no longer get the eBay default notification sound when receiving a message from seller and other eBay notifications

How to stop the app directing to safari to pay?

I paid for and received these items a year ago and now the app is displaying these stupid messages! Why can't the developers get anything right? The app seems to get more and more senseless every month!
