STARBOARD VALUE
is the activist investor group involved in maximizing shareholder wealth for ebay shareholders. This is their email address: clientservice@starboardvalue.com
They need to be contacted, and let them know that because Ebay is reluctant to block listings for required necessary items as Alcohol, Disinfectants etc. and allow the price gouging of these basic necessities, that they are as guilty as the gougers, and that all their efforts will be in vein, when the Class Action Law Suits start hitting ebay for their complicity, and partnering with the price gougers. If State Attorney's, and public is made aware that Ebay is just looking the other way during this crisis, all in the name of GREED. The brand will be tarnished for a VERY long time after.

That’s a **bleep** answer & you know it. Unless you like many other people with no morals or ethics have items for insane prices.

There's no option under report listing for price gouging. Shame on Ebay.

I will report anyway I can and I think ebay and Amazon both should prohibit Toilette Paper and 9ther things that are being scratched up. It is obvious it is being bought up for the gauge purpose.

eBay is actively ending listings that are related to COVID-19 Price Gouging.
If you wish to help eBay police the 1.3 Billion active listings, eBay employees have given guidance on how to report these listings (new guidance as of March 16)
All listings have a "Report Item" link.
On a desktop/laptop this link can be found directly above the description on the right
On mobile, the button is "Report this Item", scroll down past "About the seller"
Use the following Menu options:
Prohibited And Restricted Items
Illegal Items and items encouraging illegal activity
Other Illegal activity concerns

I'm glad to see some reporting to show these trolls on the forums who defend this behavior that their time is coming. For how to report, please look in the pages of posts here, I give several suggestions from the California Governor Newsom to attorney general offices of states. The attorney general office consumer complaints, the page is very easy to fill out. I have a letter in the mail arriving today from the California attorney general office. I have also emailed ebays compliance legal department and have had dialogue with them. Ebay admits they are overwhelmed with the crisis and are doing their best. I've given them examples of 30 dollar big box jumbo toilet paper selling for 150 dollars, all kinds of examples of price gouging. Anyone who has paid 50 dollars for a 12 dollar pack of toilet paper, 20 dollars for a dollar bottle of rubbing alcohol or 20 dollars for a 2 dollar bottle of sanitizer bottle has a case and should be reporting these sellers. Once you have paid you have plenty of information to be able to go after these opportunists.

Thank you! I've signed your petition and am working on reporting items. 100% agree with your points here and in your petition. I will share it also.

It's actually against the law right now to gouge on any site in the US...So put up your $50 TP...your time is coming.

Sold listings for toilet paper.... 28,000+ so far. Listings from last night went up 3,000 more for sale. Shortage... I don't buy for a minute. As long as ebay keeps this place open for this **bleep** it will continue to stress the supply side. Keep reporting these people

I've been reporting aggressively, though today I started messaging people first, just letting them know that price gouging is illegal. A few were people who truly didn't know, and took their items down (though I've maxed out my messaging for today.
BUT there is one seller who has been listing and relisting constantly. He is most likely a second identity, because he has only been selling for nine days and ALL of his 209 completed listings are hand sanitizers or isopropyl alcohol etc. And despite all of my reporting, and his clearly blatant disregard for eBay's rules, he is still allowed to sell. He has in the neighborhood of $5000 in price-gouging sales in just over a week. And he's still. selling.
I've messaged him, and he clearly doesn't care that eBay doesn't allow it. Seems to think that I'm too dumb to look at his completed items and see that he has 11 completed listings of 2 gallons each (at about $250/pop). He's selling smaller bottles now and claims he bought them to send to family overseas but now can't ship them.
I did report him *as a seller* to eBay and we'll see what they do with him, but I have little faith in them at this point.
