Anyone know what this means?

A buyer is doing a remorse return. She sent me tracking. This is what it shows. I asked her if she knows what is going on and did not get an answer.return.png

What the heck?  Returns agent??

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Re: Anyone know what this means?

That's not right.  Everything should be tracked through Ebay.

Let the buyer know it needs to be processed through Ebay to receive a refund.

Re: Anyone know what this means?

I am based in Florida and I've seen anything like that... any of that.

By the way, last time I checked, "remorse" was not reason enough to make a return and expect a refund.  Did the buyer actually say that in Ebay messaging?

Did she send the above info thru Ebay messaging?   If not it won't mean beans to anyone.  Returns are supposed to be made via Ebay.  What you're showing there doesn't even HAVE a tracking number!

Re: Anyone know what this means?

Once in a while when you order an item it will come via Ups or Fedex and then they will hand it off to USPS for final delivery. We live in a very rural area and this happens a lot. We will actually get back a note from original carrier saying undeliverable and then we know USPS has it. Same thing happens once in a while when you return an item. You drop an item off at USPS and they hand it back to UPS or FEDEX. You may have two tracking numbers. One for USPS that it was accepted at the post office (but they have completed their requirement). The second tracking number will be FEDEX/UPS showing it actually arrived back for return to the company. Not sure if this is your case ... hope this is helpful.

Re: Anyone know what this means?

I googled usps returns agent and got this

Maybe she tried to send it back without postage - tried to get you to pay the return postage?

Re: Anyone know what this means?

Your buyer sent you the tracking history.  Do you have the tracking #? If no, email your buyer and request the tracking # so you can be around when the item arrives.

Most likely, the carrier will be FedEx or UPS.

Re: Anyone know what this means?

I'm hoping this is what happened. I read the post that Martin2001 found. I don't have any other number to try to use for UPS or Fedex. Maybe the buyer has it.

Re: Anyone know what this means?

I have seen this multiple times, but usually with prepaid return labels from big stores (Macy's, DSW, etc). The USPS isn't the delivering company - Fedex or UPS is. The agent is the delivering company. USPS is the drop off location. The label should have two tracking numbers and barcodes. The buyer might have the info, but it won't be on their USPS receipt. Unless they gave you a wrong tracking number (maybe they confused it another return they dropped off at the same time). I think it is odd that they would have return label service for a remorse return from eBay.

That's what happened, @shevey55: Your now-gone-silent buyer uploaded the tracking number for a return, possibly trash, using the Parcel Return Service label enclosed with an ancient order from a big box store, instead of buying their own remorse return label, and hopes when it says Delivered but to the wrong zip code, that you will refund, either voluntarily within 2 days, or forced when eBay ignores the zip code. The "zip" code 56901 on the tracking number is the key:

What is Parcel Return Service 56901?
Parcel Return Service is a service set up by USPS that delivers all the packages to a single warehouse. Other information on the prepaid postage label identify who the merchant is. Merchants can then send their own freight company to pick up all the packages for them in bulk. This is less expensive than shipping all the packages individually back to each manufacturer.

Re: Anyone know what this means?

I got the return today! I'm so relieved!

But now I'm confused. Here is the label she used. Is this what a remorse return label looks like? No postage necessary if mailed in the United States?  I haven't had any returns in years until I had 2 this month. The other return label wasn't from eBay.

Re: Anyone know what this means?

She used a return label printed from eBay. I assume it says no postage necessary because she paid the money to eBay and there is no money due to the post office.
