WHAT LENGTH OF TIME DOES EBAY USE TO JUSTIFY THE CLOSING OF A THREAD?

Is it 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month 3 months? If an issue is pertinent to today's issues why close a thread?

When I search a subject on ebay's search nowhere does it say that we are not accepting any further comments.

Sometimes these actions look like the thought police do not like what is being said here or the tattletaler who do not like the issue complain to ebay.

Alan, when I pull up a thread from the PayPal archives through a google search I see a warning message letting me know the info may be outdated. There is an option to X away the message if you wish to ignore it. Has the team considered adding this type of message to the eBay archives?
