Is it 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month 3 months? If an issue is pertinent to today's issues why close a thread?
When I search a subject on ebay's search nowhere does it say that we are not accepting any further comments.
Sometimes these actions look like the thought police do not like what is being said here or the tattletaler who do not like the issue complain to ebay.
Here is an example of the note on some threads.
Hello Everyone,
Due to the age of the thread, it has been closed to further replies. Please feel free to start a new thread if you wish to continue to discuss this topic.
Thanks for understanding!

Alan, when I pull up a thread from the PayPal archives through a google search I see a warning message letting me know the info may be outdated. There is an option to X away the message if you wish to ignore it. Has the team considered adding this type of message to the eBay archives?
Hi @laylajames9,
I do like the look of that. We do have this on our list for future enhancements. We'll see if we can speed it up.
Thanks!
