This thread isn't being kept up with information that tech problems have been reported.......no additional items added since Dec..........  I know for sure the last one is still on going

here are a couple of threads

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Share-eBay-Technical-Issues/Where-s-my-Search-Bar/m-p/33481730#M107459

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Share-eBay-Technical-Issues/Issue-with-quot-this-is-a-gift-quot-custom...

This board was invaluable to prevent repetitious reports.........as well as "reminders" of what may/may not be fixed........and we fought long and hard to get something like this instituted........I sure hope it isn't being "deprecated"........

Thanks for the info, now I'm on the same page as you. That's how I've seen it on other boards - anything that user wants to pin to their own profile gets top billing.

So this isn't a change or error, it's a request to see if eBay/Khoros can flip the order. When I first read it I thought something had gone awry.

I use bookmarks instead of floating threads so I wasn't familiar with how they were set up on this site (in reference to sort order with posts pinned by eBay).

Also, you state that the lack of search bar for sellers without stores is a deliberate change......was there any confirmation of that, other than what was reported from CS on the thread?  I would like viewable statement from an ebay employee about it......

So good news, it appears this was not a deliberate change after all. Devon confirmed to the Canadian forum today that there's a site-wide ticket for it. I tagged him on the thread from this board to see if the same ticket # applies. Might be that there isn't a site-wide ticket for .com yet but hopefully we'll find out tomorrow.

@wastingtime101  lol,  just saw it and was going to post about it.  Odd, we didn't get any response here..

This is the kind of thing I don't "get" the instruction to call in about.   It's obviously site wide, easily confirmed.......just check any non store sellers view items.......  why must there be x number of complaints before it's fixed?  Just a waste of CS time answering phone calls, adding to a "ticket".........so someone is waiting for a magic # to be hit before anything is done?

@wastingtime101   Hmmm ... reversing the order isn't the issue, its more having eBay's thread locked in the top position on the board.  But that too may not be an answer and could be problematic if those threads aren't moved at some point.  This is probably another good topic to discuss in a zoom meeting.

I use bookmarks too but I don;t want to start using them on everything I do with eBay or The Community ... that would defeat the purpose of the site programming.

Takes (unknown) percent of users reporting account-specific tickets before those will be merged and escalated to a site-wide ticket. When it turns into a site-wide ticket, priority is dictated in part by how many people are affected. More people reporting raises priority on the fix list.

Apparently this issue doesn't have a site wide ticket yet as previously thought, so anybody with a non-store account complaining, we'll have to encourage them to file reports with CS. I agree it's cumbersome and seems unnecessary when it's so clearly visible on every single non-store account (not like it's impacting random accounts). I don't make the rules, just try to help inform others when there's a process we're supposed to follow to get anything done.

@wastingtime101   Sorry, if I seemed to be @you..........., I certainly appreciate you carrying the water....   Rather a complaint about the procedure itself..........my tilting at windmills.  Inconceivable that a provable problem isn't put on a list to be fixed.....without some magic # of calls/complaints.....

devon@ebay   Could you question someone "higher up" about the procedures on this kind of thing?

Is it true that Nothing is reported to be fixed until some # of calls are achieved.........even tho the problem can be easily proven by anyone?

Hey @dhbookds! I can make sure to have this passed along to the correct team and if there are any updates I will be sure to share them.
