The Community Sign In issues ...

I would have helped more recently but I got tired of 1/2 dozen Sign In clicks without getting signed in ... it is hit or miss ... some times it works after a few attempts and sometimes it doesn't ... just now it was multiple clicks with nothing so I went and got some other things done  ... when I got back to my computer is was 4 clicks and then accepted.

Hopefully they will fix it ... I know this isn't the only thread about this issue of THEIRS.

Re: The Community Sign In issues ...

I posted about it on the community board about it.....I've had to go to site preferences, recheck the sign in automatically, and apply twice now.......once last nite and once this morn.......

No fun ........when you're half asleep.......

Re: The Community Sign In issues ...

Exactly.

Every time I have this issue (and it's been 3-4 times in the past 3 days), I always think the problem is with me.Glad to hear I am not alone.

@dhbookds, @soh.maryl

The issue is theirs, if they want our involvement they have to fix it ... otherwise, give the them the break from The Community that they deserve.  I am not interested in jumping through a bunch of hoops just to help out.  Our job here is to help out, THEIR job is to make it easy for us to do that.  Once I log out this AM who knows when I might get back on ...

You got off easy with just 1/2 dozen clicks. Took me three times that last night.

Re: The Community Sign In issues ...

Likewise, and I'm still trying to puzzle out a pattern to this. My latest theory is that it has something to do with re-using your login credentials from the main eBay site, and if you haven't logged in there recently (at least within the last few hours), you can have a still-working session on eBay, but its credentials won't work to automatically log you into the Community.

However, since I'm never actually asked to provide login info for the Community, but am eventually able to get in simply by trying it over and over, I don't feel like I'm making much progress with that idea.

Re: The Community Sign In issues ...

Some or all of the steps outlined at the following link have helped me when the community sign in links just reloaded the main page without signing me in:

Re: The Community Sign In issues ...

Yeah, it seems that they are playing around again.  I had that problem, too.  Went around and around with it, until I notice it says 'Hi ****!' at the top of the page.  Sooooooo, just went into Selling, hit 'Reply' and started typing.  Posted a reply and all worked well.  Well, until it timed out after a few hours and had to go through it again.

But, that's ebay.  Did they want us to be disappointed?

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

Re: The Community Sign In issues ...

I gave up trying to sign in yesterday and just went ahead and made a reply to one of the threads---mostly to see what happened.  Strangely enough, it signed me in when I posted.

Re: The Community Sign In issues ...

My most common issue just happened right here!  Either I don’t get the box to type in at all, or I type a response, click “Reply”, and it takes me back to the main community board page without posting what I had written.

Re: The Community Sign In issues ...

Same issue.

Tried closing the browser and still had the issue when trying again.

Tried a different browser and had the same issue. Tried Chrome and Edge.

i have no faith in ebay programmers, everything they touch goes bad and everything they "fix" results in worse issues. The community is broken beyond repair, from notifications to sign in and endless "errors" when posting.
