Thank you for helping us catch those bugs! While we did work hard to make sure we caught any issues before we released the new changes to the Community, there might be some issues that we didn’t catch. If you find any issues, please post them only here. The Community team will be actively monitoring this post and we’ll work as fast as we can to get them resolved. No need to @ mention us, if you post here.
Be sure to include links to the pages, screenshots, which browser you’re using and other relevant information you can share.
Update as of 03/05: Thanks for your feedback! I'll be tracking updates here.

I love it.
I like it.
I'm neutral.
I dislike it.
I hate it.
I dislike it but I don't think they are going to listen to us & change it back...
...I mean why change now???

EXACTLY!
Here is what I see initially.
So the vertical bars, on the left, show me what has NOT been read yet. HOWEVER, once I open just ONE of those unread items, ALL of the items get "marked" or in this case unmarked. So there is no way to go back and track unread messages!
Here is what I see only seconds after clicking on one item and them going back to the list. See how everything is now unmarked and thus indicating it was "read" when it wasn't!
Can we fix this so that one can track which items have been read and which ones not read?

YES... this is driving me crazy. I should not have to take notes about which question I left off on.

OK- I see that info is there, but not if a reply is made to the OP.
It's super annoying that my profile settings to sort by latest post are completely ignored. All posts are sorted by the date the OP was created- not by the date of the last reply to a discussion.
Topics no longer jump to last unread post.
This is a disaster. Why did you guys not have some regulars test out the new format before releasing it?

I'm in agreement. There was a version of the boards before the last one where notifications would all stay "unread" unless you either clicked on them or marked all as read with a single click for all notifications. This is sticking with the old format where all are immediately marked as read when you click on the bell. It's annoying if you have a lot of notifications that warrant your reply- but you can't get to them all at once.

@shipscript wrote:I had to reduce my browser setting on my 1024 monitor to 67% just to see more than two posts. Of course, I need a magnifier to read the text. But at least itsy bitsy is a visually more comfortable composition. Was this layout designed for desktop monitors over 2000 wide?
@shipscript- It doesn't matter if i enlarge my browser to full screen. The posts are a fixed width so I still can't see more than 2 per page with a massive amount of white space around them.

Click on the in response to.
You may be referring to something else. 🤕
Ugh! Just hit reply and apparently hit the up arrow button instead.

Sorry to bug you yet again but now there is a FLOOD of car pics showing up all of the community home board. It is from the eBay motors app? and it's from eBay's staff?????
No dialog...just pics...WTH?
This is extremely annoying and I am a big car fan - I LOVE my car. What is with this? Never seen anything like this until today.
With over 16K posts and only 6 helpfuls, zero solutions, maybe this should not be showing up on the main home pages.
@hurryagain we're working to get those posts hidden from the Community boards. You are correct, they are for the eBay motors app and they should only be visible on that app.

As a workaround until eBay deals with this: from the notices page, I open each unread link in a new browser tab by right clicking on each. That makes it easier to keep track, and I do not have to go back to the notices page and try to figure out where I left off.

This message board is now near impossible to use. All the white around the posts are now causing eye strain. Bright white light is a migrane trigger for me. I have "floaters" in my vision and these new changes really bring those out.
Sorry if this has been posted before because to scroll thru all the posts is too much eye strain. But if all this pure white is going to fill every inch of the posts:
How about adding a Night or Dark Appearance Theme mode like many sites have.

This view does not translate well onto desktop. Too much scrolling, too much white space, incompatible fonts, low resolution graphics, generally inefficient design with information scattered across too much real estate. It honestly feels like the bad Windows 8 Fisher-Price interface.
The profile page is better designed, though.

Hello everyone,
We've been closely monitoring this board and have tracked all the feedback from each of the posts. We do have some tickets open with Khoros and should get some of those issues resolved soon. I'll be sure to post in the Community when they are resolved.
The majority of the comments are feature requests. So we'll work with Khoros to see how we can improve the platform.

If you are using a common desktop browser, there are third party add-ons that allow you to invert page colors at the touch of a button. Dark Reader is one. I have not used Dark Reader extensively, though I did try it out a while back. It should work with many browsers. There are other options as well: one called Dark Mode, and another called Night Eye, but I have not actually tried those.

sheila@ebay- The reason this comment will upset so many posters is that the new design has removed a lot of core functionality. In order to restore it you guys refer to it as a feature request. The last time it took at least six months to get some of the core functionality back. Of course posters are going to be upset over this. This type of change without regard for the regulars who dedicate their time here drives good posters away and hurts the community overall.
