Intermittent issues on Community platform- missing avatar, feedback score, listings

Hello everyone!

I wanted to let you know that Khoros is aware of the intermittent issues where avatars, feedback scores and listing have gone missing. I know that this is impacting some users or all users. It's not a fun experience!

There's an issue with one of Khoros' servers. I don't have an ETA on when this will be fixed but I'am pushing to get this fixed sooner than later.

I read a few days ago (link) that eBay has been making changes to their APIs with new OAuth authentication.

There's also been an issue where stamps.com tracking isn't being loaded to eBay transactions (link). I have no idea if that's an issue with stamps.com or if it's tied in with an eBay API issue. No problems with pirateship tracking being loaded to eBay though.

Am I way off base in thinking that both the stamps.com and khoros issues are related to changes eBay's making to the APIs sheila@ebay?

NOT A  "chorus" member, but I did sleep at a Motel 6 last nite...

The "light" is still on.

Until eBay releases the fix. we just have to have patience.

Remember, fixing it is complicated work, especially when the IT minds of Khoros and ebay come together, I mean, the IQ in the room must be through the roof...

The problem should be fixed any year now...

Exactly especially since the FVF not being charged to some sellers this morning was fixed right away.

2 months for this. I guess if eBay is loosing $ it’s fixed in an hour and fees collected…

Another week down ...

2 months of no information unless we open multi pages and go around the "community" platform.

Seems this could have been fixed as fast as yesterdays issue with eBay not getting FVF on sales. That only took 3 hours and eBay got their $... OH! I see...

eBay is not loosing $ on this issue.

I wish I had better news to share with you this week, but we’re still working on fixing this. I know almost two months is a long time to get this fixed, please bear with us a little while longer. 

I'll post an update as soon as I have more information to share.

I have noticed in your last few updates there is no mention of a Khoros problem.  Is that an admission by omission that the real problem was on ebay's end?   Given ebay's refusal to accept responsibility for issues in the past, I'm not expecting a reply to my question.

The probability that this is an eBay problem is around 90%. The Khoros software is unable to read certain data from eBay. This can be caused by a number of things, including DNS name lookup issues, revocation of permission, incorrect credentials, data format changes, etc.

We would have issues like this occasionally at my company, and in every case, it was diagnosed and fixed within hours. All companies deal with this type of issue, and they do it quickly.

This morning I noticed two new posts on the Buying board had the OP's feedback numbers.  When clicked on, one of the usernames was not found?  The other one did work.  Progress or just a test?

Still no avatars though.
