Buyer left negative feedback for FOUR items that were packaged in the same box. USPS DELAYED THE ITEM BECAUSE OF THE WINTER STORM & EBAY REFUSES TO REMOVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK DUE TO THIS DELAY, WHICH IS A DIRECT VIOLATION OF EBAYS SELLER PROTECTION POLICY. I have requested the removal twice on the phone with an eBay agent, and both were shocked eBay wouldn’t remove it.
EBAY SELLER PROTECTION IS A JOKE
Buyer also claims items were broken but could not provide proof. All the buyer sent was a photo of perfectly wrapped items.

I could see the buyer thinking that a box large enough to combine 3 orders might need more than one heat pack to keep the interior uniformly warm. Even if that's not true, the problem was the seller didn't notice that the buyer paid double the price of a heat pack (because they ordered 2). Also it shouldn't be up to the buyer to guess how much of a packing material they should buy as a separate item, to safely deliver the main items they purchased. I have never seen such a goofy way of doing this.

I don’t require buyers to purchase a heat pack; it’s their decision. If a buyer is in Florida, they wouldn’t need to purchase a heat pack. That way they’re not being charged for something they don’t need
Your listing for the heat pack is a direct violation of ebay policy....
AGAIN....you can not require the buyer buys eggs.
Sellers are prohibited from activities that avoid eBay fees, intentionally or not. This includes:

YOU'RE the seller! The buyer doesn't have to had shipped eggs and doesn't need to understand how to package them!
If you've been doing it for 15 years, you're supposed to be the expert!

There's no weather delay! That's why tracking doesn't show it.
You made more than one mistake in this transaction. Own it, learn from it and apologize to the buyer.
Also, end the listing for the heat packs and list it correctly, including it with the purchase of eggs. You cannot have a listing that says, "This is an add-on item. You must purchase eggs from me in order to buy these."
If I want to buy a heatpack as it's listed, I can do so without a requirement to buy eggs. That's ebay policy!

I had same problem. I ended up refund their money and letting them keep the item. I was so afraid that they would leave negative reviews. I asked eBay twice for help on negative feedback and never got help. So I ended up losing the money and product. Negative reviews last so long.

I get the original point of asking the OP if people can buy the heat packs alone, but here's what deserves the REAL side-eye, in my opinion. Look how much the going rate is for single heat packs, as standalone purchases.
Mind you these ^ are all INCLUDING SHIPPING that those sellers have to pay, whereas the OP's 8-DOLLAR packs go into the box with her eggs, and their $20 shipping charge! Even a SINGLE EGG has that high of a shipping cost, not including a heat pack!
And okay, sure, sellers can charge however much they want for shipping; buyers don't HAVE to buy from them. But given all of the above information, to me the question is not "Can people buy your heat packs and not buy eggs?" (because who would, for DOUBLE-OR-MORE the price of other sellers' heat packs?) ..... I'm wondering "Can people buy your eggs and not buy a heat pack?" (even if they live in Minnesota and it's January?). Because if the OP actually ever requires an additional 8 bucks on top of the 20 .... that may not count as technical price-gouging, but it's certainly wrong and sure to drive away sales.

Here is what eBay said and posted in their ANNOUNCEMENTS
You original post doesn't seem to indicate any of this happened in your case nor in the sequence of events
Only see I neg on your FB profile as of todays date
Only see two orders sold in the early days of Jan 2025 the 3rd & 9th. The eBay announcement was on the 10th of Jan.. Don't see 4 items sold.
I'm confused - where did I go wrong??? Just dealing with the facts as presented..

You must have looked at the default sorting view (Most Relevant) of her feedback. You have to change the sorting to 'Most Recent.'

ebay is a lot like a politician, lots of promises but never deliver
eBAy did not promise to remove feedbacks for someone who failed to ship part of an order and had an item arrive damaged. If you just take the original post of everything people complain about in these threads without reading the replies, no wonder you have such a negative opinion.
I was basing my opinion of ebay on personal experience, ebay has a tendency to make a policy that appears to helps sellers then just refuse to follow it.

I never said any of that. I said what eBay posted. Also never said anything about the op's feedback either.

I got a weather "Alert" notice and the last update for the package is Jan 10th. I contacted USPS yesterday and I am waiting for a reply or movement on my package going to a customer. The winter weather is a beast this year on USPS. The weather is going to be terrible next week, so I don't know when they will be delivering the package to my customer.

That's why I'm planning ahead and using Time Away for a little while.

If it's going to be like this on the Gulf Coast ......
I can't even imagine what the rest of the country will be like. But I'll be prepared too. Customer email fingers at the ready! I wish I could take 'time away' but it wouldn't pay my bills unfortunately.

Weird. When the weather gets dicey here in Canada, we just bust out the dog sleds. It's not that hard, people.

If you're not joking, let's see those pups!!! -I had Alaskan Malamutes as a kid in Iowa. Only 2, so not enough to pull a person but you couldn't tell them that (the WORST dogs to try to walk on a lead, in fact I'd love to see ole Caesar Milan try to train one to walk by his side!). Very fun to sing with though. ❤️
