WE NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS AVAILABLE OVER THE PHONE ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This has gone on long enough. Ebay can't use the virus as an excuse to no longer service their customers without help over the phone! The website is limited and can't resolve certain issues that you may be having without human intervention! Customer services reps can easily work from home!!!! I bet they are looking at home much money they are saving/making by not having to pay someone to answer the phone and will carry this as long as they can! Right now I feel as ebay customer service for sellers is equivalent to Craigslist!

I needed to get hold of customer service today and used the "Chat with Us" link on this page.
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/member-behaviour-policies/membertomember-contact-policy?id=4262
It took only one minute to get online with a rep, and when the subject matter got intricate, they hooked me up with a rep who was knowledgeable about shipping. This was a pleasant surprise.
Even Amazon is difficult to get a hold of, and messy stuff like warranty service with a manufacturer is really time consuming.

Ebay needs yet ANOTHER class action to remind them once again just how corrupt hey are. Once AGAIN. So they can take yet ANOTHER hit to their wallet.

“Have us call you” option has been removed.

It is NOT an excuse. Don’t be obtuse.

That is NOT a valid excuse. There are plenty of people available to work from home. Taking away the entire service department undet the excuse of a pandemic while expecting us sellers to continue functioning at 100% with half-functional webchats is pathetic.

Comment if you agree that it is completely unacceptable to deny human assistance for ebay sellers and buyers.
I have been selling (and buying of course) with eBay for over twenty years now, and have been very happy with their service reps for a long time.
it seems that the execs have decided to use this year’s pandemic as an excuse to remove ALL avenues of human contact, more and more each month until now, the phone number only gets you a 30 second message sending you back to the website.
Sellers are trying to do real business through this site. This isn’t just some side hobby for most of us, and even if it is, we still take our sales and our buyers seriously. Having that reliable service rep is VITAL. Sellers CANNOT function with only message boards and robotic chat boxes. WE NEED TO TALK TO PEOPLE!!
We all know they make enough money to pay for service reps and that closing this number to sellers is pathetic! Absolutely PATHETIC!

This really needs more attention.

I talked to them on the phone just today.

Last time I tried that it stated "not available" and the only area you could have them call you back from was Managed Payments. Have you tried it recently? Just wondering because it would be awesome if it worked but I have had no luck 😞
Thanks!

I put in a request for someone to contact me. Got a call 25 mins later.

How did you get through? The phone number now only gives me a thirty second recording and hangs up.

I think if one were to look at the corporate make-up of ebay, one might find various reasons why ebay might use different excuses to avoid spending more money than they could for CS. Just the fact that they have a couple of BOD that represent activist investors, with a definite interest in garnering as much on their investments as possible, could have something to do with it. Shareholders dividends can put a dent in their previous asset accumulation plans and create budget restraints. Multi million dollar annual bonuses and separation costs can also effect the bottom line. Then, there is attempting to set foot into the loans-for-inventory, where they can make money from the interest, that might cost them a few dollars to enter.
Being a multi-faceted, multi-national, global corporation can be expensive and there are priorities. As there are plenty of sellers - and more to come - well, sellers may not be all that high on the food-chain.

Ignore replies from corvettestainless. He's obviously an Ebay shill, as all of his replies are like that.
