WE NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS AVAILABLE OVER THE PHONE ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has gone on long enough. Ebay can't use the virus as an excuse to no longer service their customers without help over the phone! The website is limited and can't resolve certain issues that you may be having without human intervention! Customer services reps can easily work from home!!!! I bet they are looking at home much money they are saving/making by not having to pay someone to answer the phone and will carry this as long as they can! Right now I feel as ebay customer service for sellers is equivalent to Craigslist!

CS reps ARE working from home.  You can contact eBay on social media like twitter.  Why do you feel the virus is no longer a reason for caution? May I suggest that you detail your problem here and we might be able to help.

So the 'have us call you' is not good enough?

Click 'Help/Contact'- then 'selling' then pick your problem and scroll down to 'have us call you'......

Sorry to hear of your frustration. There are some channels available to reach Customer Service. As the other poster suggested, you can get a call back by using the Help & Contact links you find on just about every page. Or try eBay’s Facebook or Twitter. FB has been a particularly good resource with helpful reps. Good luck!

Geeze. NO Ebay is not purposely having having no CS reps. There is a worldwide pandemic going on right now. If you are complaining about having to take a return give up as Ebay allows that and you would be wasting valuable time. If you need help ask here as post posters here know the answer. There are other ways to communicate also. Try facebook.

Yes you can have an ebay rep call you...That said if your problem has escalated...or you need to contact the appeals dept. and you need to speak with someone there you are up the creek.  I actually had a ebay rep tell me the other day...." I am going to be completely transparent with you...we are severely understaffed and things are a mess right now"  Those words are glaring....I honestly thought at that moment after that comment to end all my listings on all my accounts

Who said anything about a return? Do you work for ebay? Are you looking at my account?

I think @coolections was just taking a guess, since you gave us no reason to have to contact C/S.

Let's put it this way... "What's up?" Maybe you can get help here...

This has not been true for my experience. eBay CS is extremely difficult to locate, time consuming just to find out where you can send them a message or chat. Once you are lucky enough to get their attention, the information they provide is often canned responses - it might take 2-3 reps to finally get them to READ what you wrote. They do not care to review physical evidence - such as buyer claiming item was such and such size, attaching photo with a ruler alongside the item - and then CS tells you buyer was correct (when the picture shows the exact length you stated in the original listing)! So now, as a seller, you were forced to pay for return shipping by buyer - without any fault of your own!

Most of the time, even the best CS employees who mean to invest time into reviewing the case at hand, are unable to assist because they are not given the tools or the empowerment to overrule something. Like when I had a problem last week, as a buyer. Ordered something that was not as described - but because PayPal overcharged me on the bank acct portion of my payment and there was a case opened for BILLING reasons - neither ebay nor PayPal were able to allow me to open a return case!!! What does a billing issue (an obvious glitch on PayPal's end) have to do with a RETURN of the item? The return reimbursement would have been 40 bucks plus some change. The billing error (double-billing of 7.14) should have been resolved on PayPal's end and would not have concerned the original selling price (it was an item with free shipping), After having spent 2 days total on countless chats with eBay (and PayPal), eBay still did not allow me to return the item.

Thank God the seller finally replied, and accepted the return (after 5 days and 2 messages from me). Otherwise I could have kissed good-bye to both the money and would have had to donate the useless item, since it did not fit and was not fit for resale as it was mislabeled (factory second).

So much about help from CS. While I find that there are many helpful posters on these boards, a company of this size should not rely on helpful posters but train its CS right and make sure there is an easy, efficient way for both buyers and sellers, to get their problem solved.

Sorry, I have to disagree with your statement. Exactly due to this pandemic, there are over 40 million people still out of a job and many were told, their job will not be available. That is alone in the U.S.A. Now if you wish to expand the scope world-wide....many more available people who would LOVE to get a job. All eBay would need to do is just post the jobs, then hire and train people who actually speak the language they are supposed to assist in.

Not everyone is able to accept calls on a whim, whenever a CS employee wants to "call them back." Those of us still working may be in a meeting online, work in healthcare, be a firefighter or paramedic, or have a gazillion other reasons why they need help immediately when they call.

Customer Service Reps can work from home any where in the world. They just need to be available to answer the phone. Ebay is worth 36 Billions dollars and the best they can come up with it is twitter and facebook? If a corporation can profit from cutting costs they will. Ebay isn't loosing money during the pandemic they are actually profiting since people are shopping more from home. Your telling me that they couldn't hire and train people as customer service reps online using Zoom or some other video conferencing system? Many companies have already moved their employees to work from home permanently because they realized they don't need office space to be productive. CS reps do not need to be at a call center to service Ebay customers. They can do that from home with a phone and a computer, unless they do not own one but I doubt it.  Ebay could easily set this up, they have the money and the ingenuity.

No it's not good enough! Ebay is a billion dollar company and their customer service is terrible! Image you bought something at Walmart and you wanted to return it and they told you to wait in the parking lot for 55 minutes until a rep a came out to meet you. Well we know that's not the case and you can return it in person in a store from standing in line during the Pandemic. But Ebay can't handle having someone work at home to answer a phone because of the pandemic?

You mean all that money your buyers paid.....it came out of your pocket because the buyer put it there. Without the buyers paying you wouldn't have the money for the eBay fees.  eBay feels like it's the buyer's money that oils the wheels of eBay.
