Haven't fully read the Spring Update yet, but looks like we will be seeing a .2% increase in FVFs on average. So much for the fees savings eBay was previously touting. The hilarity of it all is they are claiming the same 💩 as governments like to do when they raise taxes.
"We’re reinvesting in our platform to create the premier global marketplace"
So does that mean site issues and lack of transparency will be getting worked on? I wonder if these increased fees will fix the constant bugs I run into when trying to do selling tasks. Luckily there are other growing platforms with better fee structures and customer bases.

I think what would worry me more is the 'streamlining' of the fee collection. That and - if I read it correctly - discontinuing seller billing invoices. Everything in the seller hub, with limited CS, would make me nervous.

Something I was expecting long ago. Lower the Fees to get you to do a certain thing (managed payments), make this the only choice available and then when enough people are switched, slowly raise the fees.

The accounting is gonna be miserable with how horrible eBay's reports are. A child with a melted crayon and paper could draw up a better system. I am probably gonna start using my own shipping account rather than eBay's. That is to eBay disadvantage ironically. I'm sure they will be stupid and force us to use their broken system eventually. I will be fully setup on Shopify and Facebook Marketplace by then luckily.

They are slowly gonna boil us frogs so they can extract as much value as they can out of their failing business.

Well go figure - I havent read it yet, so is that a .2% or 2% increase? Let me guess....
You may not have been around back in the day(early to mid 2000's), but do you remember when the FVF was 2.9% of the item ONLY with no money exchange fees and no "Best Match" cheating you out of visibility? The increase in fees and reduction in service over the last 15yrs is mind boggling - By the way, I thought the "Promoted Listings" program was supposed to keep fee increases in check(You know, that malign program they created to get sellers to pay to "promote their listings", which is actually the only thing you really get for your seller fees IN THE FIRST PLACE) - guess not if there is going to be another 2% increase...

and you may not have been around when the cheapest insertion fee was 75c ($9.99 start price) and included 1 picture........
All the upfront risk was on the seller.......you paid that fee whether the item sold or not......
and it is NOT a 2% increase.........but a .2% from 11.5 to 11.7%

I don't expect fees to go down. If they are gonna push some ridiculous lie about needing more money to run the site better, well I wasn't born yesterday.

I dont remember .75 cent listing fees for items $9.99 or less - I do remember when the cost to list an item was .25 cents for an item 9.99 or less around 2003 - I also remember having no problem with the upfront risk of spending money to list because sell through rates were approximately 80% and the items sold for "all the money" because people could actually find your items and they weren't hidden by a biased search engine...

I might also point out that some with a premium store may be able to go down to a basic.........because of all the free insertion fees......... for some the store subscription may renews in April or May (mine renews April 1)......so be sure to check when your store renews..........that's a $30+ savings per month..... IF you are primarily listing in the chosen categories........... You would $25 in shipping box credits per quarter....so be sure to use that before you switch........

Meanwhile more and more niche market place apps are being created because of Ebay´s terrible service with the sellers.

I remember with a Reserve Auction you only paid the Reserve Auction Fee if your item did not sell and if your item did sell the Max Fee was $75.

If your store renews on April 01 won't you need to maintain your store subscription for at least 1 month at the month to month rate in order to get the quarterly shipping credit (2nd Quarter) that your store receives?

not sure I understand............ I will downgrade to a yrly basic......before April 1.........I've already used the box credit $50 for the lst quarter......I'm pretty sure I'll get the credit for the 2nd Quarter......$25 instead of $50......
ah.........had a typo in lst post...........should be you would LOSE $25 of the box credit. (with a basic)
