Policy Violation notice but now way of knowing which items are in violation?

I have a notice on my active listing page that says "3 of your listings have policy violations" and it has a link for "learn more". The link just brings you to help articles and there are no other options other than to close the warning, so how does one determine which 3 items have policy violations other than calling eBay support which is very time consuming?

Click into your eBay messages and look for the “!High priority” filter. If you indeed did get listing violations, eBay would notify you in there by some sort of message. They will tell you which listings are in violation.

That did not work as am only seeing the same messages in my High Priority Inbox that I received through my email. Had an item ended today on the US site and I am guessing this same item is in violation on non US sites where it is still live but would rather not play the guessing game and wish eBay would have transparency on this issue as it is almost impossible to figure out what is or is not in violation in 25 years selling on eBay.

Try clicking the box at top of Active Listings (to 'edit) and when in the 'edit' screen, see if the violators are shown at the top of the page? You can then just 'cancel' if nothing shown.

Policy Violation notice but now way of knowing which items are in violation?

This is unusual to me.  I (unknowingly) had a listing in violation once, and eBay took it down as well as sent me a message telling me they took it down.  It showed the exact listing and maybe even which policy it violated (years ago so I don't remember for certain).  And I believe the cases I've read about here in the forums were the same thing, where the listings were already taken down when they sent the message, and showed which one(s) they were talking about.

I mean, how gaslighting would it be if they expected the seller to figure it out on their own, especially when they have a history of WRONGLY deeming items in violation, e.g. Ye Olde "Ivory" (colored) vase, not made of ivory at all.

Try this link:

under Policies icon, there may be perhaps more than just a general message

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/medical-devices-policy?id=4322

Some medical devices can only be sold with government authorization. Listings for these items must follow the rules below:

  • Items must be listed in the Business & Industrial > Healthcare, Lab & Dental category
  • The following information must be included in the item description:
    • The seller's name, city, state, and telephone number
    • The seller's business name, if applicable
    • A statement that the item has been cleaned and handled in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
    • A copy of the following statement:
"The sale of this item may be subject to regulation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and state and local regulatory agencies. If so, do not bid on this item unless you are an authorized purchaser. If the item is subject to FDA regulation, I will verify your status as an authorized purchaser of this item before shipping of the item."
Lift your left leg at midnight to start off on the right foot. Happy new Year!

Did eBay end the listings? If they did, it might be on your unsold listings page.

@matrixmedical

You may have to be an authorized vendor for some of the items you are selling. EBay is pretty hands on in that respect.  You may want to check it out.

Just a guess but in briefly looking at your listings - you do have over 50 listings of medical devices that they are very legally touchy on resale in the entire US, not just on ebay. There are decades of case law in reference to medical devices. I would look up the listing requirements for each major category you have listed in. Due to the significant looting, rioting & theft that have occurred over the past 4 years, law enforcement is particularly sensitive & ebay likely has a legal obligation in that regard.

Do not be surprised to see more than a few endings & a potential account suspension with funds held & eligible for claw back. As a user, the entire situation is in your lap to resolve & not ebays, other than shutting you down. They may have been slow since you have been in business a year based on ur feedback. But, you ARE ON NOTICE now that something is not listed properly & you have to resolve it or they will.

Yes I see that and I know I can just x it out but am worried that I will then have 2x items in violation. eBay ended this item on the US site but was still live on other eBay sites so I ended those and it went from 3x violations to 2x so I am guessing this has something to do with it. Another eBay glitch where it looks like the message should have gone away when I ended all of the listing for that same item, so I guess I will have to call as am worried that if this is not the case, I will get dinged again.

I have been selling medical equipment on eBay for 25 years this month and I can tell you that eBay looks at users who have violated in the past a lot harder than those who have not, a eBay rep actually once told me that. I would say about 30% of all listing in the medical equipment category are in violation of eBay policy as they do not include the required statement regarding the condition etc. but these sellers don't have to do that at all while I follow the rules and include ALL required information but for some reason I am often in violation while at least 30% of all other items are ignored? Am trying to play by the rules which is not easy in the medical category, but it would be nice if I did not have to call to find out which of these two if any are in violation?
