I sold a used but like new accept few scratches on the prongs which I clearly stated in listing description.
everything in listing description is correct ring size 6 and all.
but I made a wrong click on item pacific thing click ring size 5 …so that was my mistake..
from the the start, I charge $5.00 shipping and I provide nice faux leather gift box, cute tiny gift bag and wrapper and put in a nice box to shop to buyer which $5.00 shipping cost don’t cover all.
buyer contacting me saying can you ship priority it’s easier for me to track…I answer I am not because I didn’t charged you for priority so it will go out as first class or advance ground shipping which cost $4.20
anyway, buyer contacted me saying your listing say ring size 5 but it’s not so it will cost her &65.00 to resize…I take my jewelry to resize all the time and never ever cost me $65 to resize 1 size down on sterling silver …sterling silver resize down cost anywhere $15 to $25
She want to keep it and she ask me to reimburse that amount or she will send it back so asking me to send her pre paid postage…
I told her to send it back for a refund and I will not reimburse for $65
as what I sold her 2 ct Moissanite princess cut ring in sterling silver platinum plated for $139…after ebay fees I got $112 and I lost money on it already ….
so I told her go through ebay return…
but I feel like item do match description because I wrote everything including ring size 6 and all the blemish and all …only thing I made mistake on item pacific ring size 5 …
but I m sure she will file as item not describe….
everything ebay and buyer makes so hard for sellers.
I don’t have problem refunding but the hassle and headaches buyer gives me is insane…
just because you don’t see a person face to face don’t mean treat people like criminals…everybody makes little mistakes gees

@mybabylily Buyers are not to ask for things not in the listing.
As a seller you did not have to ship Priority. Just say no and offer to cancel and relist with correct shipping option.
The buyer can ask for the moon but the seller can say no and"return for refund"
The buyer can not demand you do anything.
Not saying you are all wrong but it takes two... Just keep responding "please return for refund"

No, it the listing below, which has Size 5 in the Item Specifics and Size 6 in the Description. As OP said, she clicked the wrong size when filling in the Item Specifics but gave the right size in what she herself wrote.

I mean yeah, buyer kinda annoying trying to slide in some free priority.
But really that's not anything.
Buyer issue: INAD
Seller admits error in listing, acknowledges INAD
INAD is valid, not fraudulent.
Buyer asks for discount and to keep. (This isn't abnormal)
Seller Doesn't want to provide discount.
Seller should just ask Buyer to open a return for a full refund with paid return shipping.
This all seems pretty normal, not sure why it's forum worthy.

Update…
buyer email again saying she wants to keep the ring even after I ask to return many times for full refund. For most of you, I am own up and that is why I ask to return through ebay process.
no big deal either way…not hurting for money in anyway.

I didnt know a plated ring could be resized?

I think the reason you are getting replies that you don't like is that it appears like you are blaming the buyer for the issue simply because they asked for priority shipping and then a return label. I understand the buyer has since decided to keep the ring and that is good but the buyer didn't do anything wrong. They asked for a shipping upgrade and you declined. That is over and has nothing to do with the actual problem. When they notified you that the ring was not correctly sized (it matters not one bit what you wrote in your description. The drop down size is what matters) and gave you a couple of options. One, pay for a resize and the other accept a return. To me this is a closed and shut issue. Tell them to return it for a refund and give them instructions how to do it. Just because they ask for a return label doesn't mean they are being unreasonable. They simple might not understand how returns work on ebay.
Your title of this thread sounds like you are blaming the buyer. That is most likely why you got the responses you got. Regardless, I'm glad to hear that it is resolved and the buyer is going to keep it. I sell clothing and shoes and trust me, I've been there and done that. It is very easy to mess up an item specific, especially if you are using the "sell yours" option from someone else listing.

You have pretty much capsulized our concerns in our responses to the OP.
As you state, the issues about shipping method really have no place in this.
Item was not as described. Buyer can open a case.

No problem, and in both cases (the one you found and one I found) the size was inconsistent,
