I sold a used but like new accept few scratches on the prongs which I clearly stated in listing description.
everything in listing description is correct ring size 6 and all.
but I made a wrong click on item pacific thing click ring size 5 …so that was my mistake..
from the the start, I charge $5.00 shipping and I provide nice faux leather gift box, cute tiny gift bag and wrapper and put in a nice box to shop to buyer which $5.00 shipping cost don’t cover all.
buyer contacting me saying can you ship priority it’s easier for me to track…I answer I am not because I didn’t charged you for priority so it will go out as first class or advance ground shipping which cost $4.20
anyway, buyer contacted me saying your listing say ring size 5 but it’s not so it will cost her &65.00 to resize…I take my jewelry to resize all the time and never ever cost me $65 to resize 1 size down on sterling silver …sterling silver resize down cost anywhere $15 to $25
She want to keep it and she ask me to reimburse that amount or she will send it back so asking me to send her pre paid postage…
I told her to send it back for a refund and I will not reimburse for $65
as what I sold her 2 ct Moissanite princess cut ring in sterling silver platinum plated for $139…after ebay fees I got $112 and I lost money on it already ….
so I told her go through ebay return…
but I feel like item do match description because I wrote everything including ring size 6 and all the blemish and all …only thing I made mistake on item pacific ring size 5 …
but I m sure she will file as item not describe….
everything ebay and buyer makes so hard for sellers.
I don’t have problem refunding but the hassle and headaches buyer gives me is insane…
just because you don’t see a person face to face don’t mean treat people like criminals…everybody makes little mistakes gees

You were wise to ask the buyer to open a Return. Get your ring back, correct the listing, adjust the price and relist.

I know nothing about rings or rings sizes but when I buy something that is supposed to be size "x" and it isn't that is the very definition of "not as described".
There need not be any hassle or headache, when the situation was first revealed you should have simply told the buyer to return and provided and provided a return label.

It doesnt matter what you "feel"
All the buyer has to do is file a "not as described" and you will either send a shipping label and refund upon receipt (of anything) OR refund the buyer with out return.
Those are the only 2 choices. Doesnt matter whos right or wrong and eBay will side with the buyer.
Buyers need no proof..
Dont take it personal - Your only response just needs to be "Im so sorry. Please return for a full refund"
Over and over if thats what it takes. No need to get into anything with the buyer.

Sometimes, we just botch one up. Sounds like you need a do-over when you get the ring back.

I wear a size five ring on my right hand. If I bought a ring that was supposed to be a size five and I received a size six instead, guess what? I'm returning it because it's not as described. I'm not resizing it, I'm RETURNING it and I WILL get my entire purchase price back, either voluntarily or involuntarily from the seller.
You messed up. Own it.
Get the ring back, relist it with the correct size and resell it.

Small point, but the buyer's claim that Priority is easier to track is nonsense. Tracking is tracking.

I don't understand this:
everything in listing description is correct ring size 6 and all.
but I made a wrong click on item pacific thing click ring size 5 …so that was my mistake..
If it's this ring:
you state in the IS and in the description .......size 5.5...........
do you mean the actual size is 6? if so.........buyer definitely has a case for a return...........YOUR mistake opened the door to all the rest.........which is superfluous. Just tell her to open a return and approve it.
(I assume pacific thing means item specific)

How are you being treated like a criminal?
What hassle? What headaches?
You made a mistake. Ring does not fit buyer.
When/if a case is opened, you will need to make sure the buyer is reimbursed in advance for the cost of return shipping. And you will need to refund in total upon receipt of the returned ring.
But you know all of that.

Does that part really matter?

Only to someone to who might be duped into upgrading shipping under a phony premise.

I know and I said I made a mistake and I know every single people on earth make mistakes…
I also told buyer to go through ebay return and yes I will provide shipping label through ebay return process.
what hassle and headaches?
buyer asked priority without paying priority and demanded from the beginning.
second, she ask $65 reimburse for resizing …I told her I rather her returning the ring and I am not going to over pay for resizing…she than say she like to keep it but only if I pay for resizing…again I told her to open a return though ebay and return.
she demand pre paid shipping label without going through ebay…again I told her I cannot do that unless she go through ebay return so why some of you barking at me like I m the one who is all wrong? also I never say anywhere I m not going to refund nor refuse on return.
I rather have my ring back and than keep her money and her bad demeanor.
I buy a lot on ebay and other places on line…never send back if ring size is off because people do make a mistakes…but I did send few back getting completely wrong item or wrong color or damaged.
some people are more understanding and forgiving than others I know.

Our feet and our fingers do swell from day to day. I take my rings off every day when I get home. Waking up in the morning sometimes my rings are easy to put on and sometimes I might need a little cold water to put my 5 rings on. The days I exercise my rings are so easy to put on. The days I sit on the couch my rings are hard to put on. Ring size does change from day to day.
And just a note on the feet...your feet will eventually not fit your old shoes.

I agree with most everyone else here.
Own up to the mistake, take the ring back, refund the buyer, re-list the ring.
No big deal.
