Been dealing with this issue for over a month now. I have been selling on eBay for over 15 years, I recently moved to the nightmare of Managed Payments. I started to notice strange things, getting charged for shipping twice, funds not adding up right in my payouts, etc. I contacted eBay many times about this to no avail. Suddenly I was told my payouts are on hold and I have to verify my bank account again. PITA but I did it. Still a hold on my payouts a for a week. I contacted eBay every day with no one able to resolve. Suddenly I was not able to log in to my account. My credentials are saved in my browser so it's not like I was typing things in wrong. On the phone with eBay again and I'm being told my account can not be found and there is no account associated with my email address... WTH! I have has the same email with eBay since I first signed up. No one is can tell me what is happening, its like I'm a ghost. I have records of payouts, payments, emails, etc. from ebay that I have sent them, proving I'm not crazy and I did have an account. Nothing. On top of all that I had $1100 sitting in my payouts. This is insane. Has anyone dealt with this or have any advice?

my story doesn't make sense? or the situation doesn't make sense? if it made sense i wouldn't be here. like i said already.. i have records of my activity.. ebay seems to not or is just not being proactive in helping me. its why I have been on the phone with them so many times. As for my reply to them.. as I said, I send them copies of my records.. emails, notifications, bank statements, etc.. I keep getting tossed around. Now I am waiting for a call from them that is supposed to be on Monday.. of course, just like here it seems.. ebay keeps trying to place blame on me saying i must have given my password to someone. Of course I would never do that. also they say they can't even find an account associated with my email address. I'm at my wits end.

I mean, if you actually want help and you have $1100 sitting somewhere, maybe upload one of those screenshots here, what have you got to lose? Nobody here's trying to hack you, but your refusal to give us any account / order history isn't sitting right with us either. Comments have been made that if you can't give us any more than this story then we're going to assume it's a fantasy because most of us here have been around as long or longer than you have and it's not our first wild one on these boards either...

I'm trying to understand you here. your thought is that I made this whole post as some kinda scheme? for what exactly? I don't understand people on this board... I am not going to start uploading screenshots or give you guys account details. why? what can y'all possibly do with any of that??? i came on to ask if anyone has been through this or have heard of it happening to anyone else and if you KNOW a solution.. I am not here to prove anything to anyone.. I'm here to ask a question. i made this account just to ask on these boards thinking people would try to be helpful.. I see other people getting similar treatment from people I'm gonna assume are regulars here and have some kind of holier then thou attitude. its like if u don't agree or haven't had the same experience then you're auto suspecting people of something weird. either help people with info if you can or keep it moving.. i don't understand why some of you think you are private investigators or something???

I won't get help here i see so ill just keep it moving myself...

People WANT to help you........but without the information about the lost account, no one can do anything. And yes, there are trolls who tell great stories on these boards for whatever twisted reasons......so without any real information we are somewhat skeptical because of past experiences..........

I don't think anyone is actually trying to be mean. I think they are just curious as to why you are being shy about the user name - afterall, it's possible someone here may have been a customer and might still be able to see your account or have given you feedback and they would be able to see if the account was still active (feedback shows 'no longer a member' if the account has been closed).

But, it sounds like there is a strong possibility that someone has hacked your account and changed the account name and details which is why you can't see it and why ebay can't find it.

I admit I'm clutching at straws for you because I had my account hacked years ago and it was a horrid experience. Luckily the hacker didn't change any details on my account and eBay were very quick to sort it out for me.

I hope you get better luck and can speak to someone who knows what is happening and what to do about it on Monday.

We’re trying to understand you too. Your post complaining about the posters is almost as long as your problem post. With a problem as bad as the one you described, I can’t imagine being concerned about board posters. I have been here a long time and never heard of anyone with this problem. I have seen many problems solved, though, by the very knowledgeable volunteers when given a chance.

About the only thing I have heard of that even comes close is during the conversion to MP when some people lost their ability to list either because they never got, or ignored, the messages about being converted to MP. However I don't believe anybody lost their account. As far as your account ID if you do not wish to share that is fine I wish you luck in your pursuit of a resolution. You can also try searching this board on your own to see if you find anything similar to your situation.

I know a lot of people have separate accounts for multiple purposes including one just for posting on this board. Personally I have only one eBay account and have no issues posting to this forum.

Stop being so defensive. The posters in this forum are trying to help you. They have asked what the User ID of the missing account is so they can look into this and see if they can glean some answers for you.

Your defensiveness suggests you don't actually want help, you just want to complain.

Yeah I'm sure you've seen "psychological disorders" in ebay circles, mostly narcissism I'm guessing. Have you ever entertained the idea that it was a rare glitch or a hacker? Nope, you shrug it off as a rant of a lunatic. It's people like you who make sellers go crazy in the first place.
