I recently sold an item via Priority Mail and shipped it in a 12x8x6 box. The transaction went fine and I received positive feedback from the seller. However I just received an email that 'eBay ruled in your favor in your dispute case' and was receiving a refund because 'Service printed on label didn't match service used' and it claims I had used a Flat Rate Envelope. This is obviously incorrect, the items I sent would not fit in an envelope.
I'm concerned the USPS will think I'm fraudulently requesting a refund, and I don't know why eBay opened this dispute without my request or consent. Anyone been in this situation before?

Never heard of this. Customer was happy and left positive feedback....who opened case against you? Were you given the opportunity to response to "open case" and provide your evidence? Everything about this seems very unfair.
I believe you would have a good chance of winning a rebuttal if you contact EBAY on their Facebook page.

Could be a phishing email. Are you sure it came from eBay? Is it in your eBay messages?

Where does the message originate from?
Who are you supposed to reply to?
Looks a little "phishy" to me
