I think some didn't understand what the seller is selling..."Antique Mall' is HIS title.

While it has no use as a battery...there are some strange buyers who collect certain things.

Like old cell phones that don't work anymore...etc. , etc.

I know it sounds weird...but you be surprised one man's garbage is another man's treasure.

Some people collect keys that open nothing...LOL

I had a pile of keys that I threw away collecting in a drawl.

The negative feedback is silly...'I will sue you'...is saying that even allowed in a feedback?

That think that feedback would hurt the OP...it's rather funny.

However, it was a 10 buck item and I would have given the buyer a refund.

Yes - people sell all kinds of weird stuff on here and others collect it, absolutely, and the point is, was it listed honestly and in the right category? For instance a battery that is very hard to get now might prompt someone to take a chance on purchasing an untested one to get their strange widget to work again. As a matter of fact, I have one of those oddball batteries sitting on my desk right now - it powers some kind of old tech but I haven't figured out what yet.

And yeah, I would have just refunded, too.

Re: How do I get eBay to remove this negative feedback?

There are actually usable Parts inside this Kind of Battery packs.

There is always a BMS inside that can be reused and if maybe only one Cell is broken you can replace it and fix the Battery Pack or the  use the remaining good Cells for something else.

The Case can also be used to Fix another Battery Pack so in my opinion the Seller did nothing wrong and the buyer is either trying to pull a number here to get the item for free or is one of those who really doesn't read the description and complains just to cover his own stupidity.

There is way to get the Negative comment remove by contacting eBay if the Item matches the description but the Seller left a Negative review as Damage Control without a Reason to do so which in my opinion is clearly the Case

You need to put "VCR not working" in your "Orion" CRT TV listing and repeat that in the condition and item descriptions.

Even though you listed it for parts or repair, you said it was untested, you didn't say it didn't work.

All that means nothing if a buyer files a NAD (not as described) claim. The NAD claim requires acceptance of the return or a refund without return.

@makebidz

Did the buyer open a NAD return request?

If not, I'd respond to the feedback with "I'm sorry you aren't pleased with the item. Please return it for a refund."

Then if the buyer doesn't return it, you might have more leverage in getting the feedback removed since you made the offer and you were willing to make the buyer happy.

I know it doesn't mean anything if the buyer files an INAD.

If the buyers knows up front it might not work, they might not buy the item in the first place.

I was merely offering the OP a possible resolution to help solve the issue posed in the title: How to get the neg removed.

The buyer needs to read the description - that's pretty simple.

ETA: There's good reason I take my repairable/parts spendy small appliances elsewhere - between eBay's inability to adjudicate and the market here...just no. I'll sell to the fixer market elsewhere - it's lucrative.

I'll bet there are not many people who actually know there are usable parts inside a battery pack.

And I'll bet this buyer is not "stupid".  Whether he read the description or not, who knows?  He just needed a battery and bought one and it didn't work so he is unhappy.  It sounds like he doesn't know about eBay's MBG so he did the only thing he knew to do, he left a neg for the seller.   Whether the buyer or the seller is at fault in this case, what is presented is a good enough reason for eBay to accept this buyer is an unhappy customer.

Re: How do I get eBay to remove this negative feedback?

eBay loves its deadbeat buyers because eBay uses the negs to restrict accounts and they can keep millions of sellers money and invest it. Huge scam. No wonder sellers are fleeing eBay. They don't want to be abused.

eBay doesn't use feedback to assess seller accounts and hasn't in a long time.

Some items, particularly items which are not working and cannot be repaired, are too risky to be sold on Ebay.

No amount of words will make them safe to sell here.

That is true of everything sold here,

Re: How do I get eBay to remove this negative feedback?

one thing I think might cause some problems when selling for parts non working is the word "untested" this implies that it might just work and a buyer could think, i will test it and send it back if it does not work.

I think that just stating "non working" in the title and condition notes is better.

Re: How do I get eBay to remove this negative feedback?

Thanks for clarifying that there could be "usable" parts on the battery.

That was beyond my understanding.
