Re: Finally! These Moochers Make a Contribution!

A rescue Havanese. I found him in Nogales Arizona almost 10 years ago. He was just 5 months old and had been dumped. We think it was a backyard breeder because one eye has white eyelashes and pink skin. He is a real joy. Actually doesn’t particularly care for his cart, and prefers to get up on his back knees, and push up with his front legs, and he is off like a bat. Of course having tile floors help speed him up to his destination.

He has been through a lot in his life, but handles everything very well. He loves his morning and afternoon dog stroller walks. My husband is well known in the neighborhood for the dog in the hot pink stroller. Disabled dogs manage much better than people. I paid $10 for him, and have over $10,000 invested in him. He had a botched ruptured disc surgery 6 years ago.

@frugalmarketplace  Animals are practical philosophers - they just get on with it.  I used to keep birds and once one of the lovebirds bit off the toes of one of my ancient parakeets. Despite her age, the parakeet, who had lost her balance without her little grippy toes on one leg, trained herself to land, roost and take off with her toeless foot. I watched her train herself.

We can learn a LOT from animals.  Your little guy is a star!

I know right? When I was asking the question, I thought..."Uh oh, I wonder if I'll get bleeped over the spelling of the dog breads name?" When I saw it, I cracked up!

Next time I'll type sheet zu...? Ya think? lol

Re: Finally! These Moochers Make a Contribution!

My cat assistants are both gone now - died at age 18 and 20. But when they were around one was my official 'box checker' - jumping into each box as I was packing to inspect it for integrity and tensile strength. The other managed the tissue paper - I'd give her a wad of it and she would bat and shuffle it until it was unwadded and perfectly flat, then sit on top of it and meow in triumph.

Sisters from the same litter.

The fluffy cat was an outdoor/indoor cat, and had velcro fur.

I made this collage of the tuxedo.

@gdiesel70

I had yorkies for years.  A family of them.  Their personalities were so funny sometimes. They loved everyone, even the evil mailman, but that's because I think they thought he was the pizza guy.  Thanks for sharing.

This is my moocher.  She loves the cardboard from the tape roll.   She has one pretty much destroyed by the time the next one is empty.  They were a life saver when she was teething.

Just my Two Cents...
Thank you for being here!

I had a coworker who would bring her Yorkie into work on Saturdays when we had a skeleton staff.  Skippy would trundle into each cubicle to say "hello" to the occupant before going back to his human's desk and quietly curling up next to it. He was a little bright ray of sunshine on some of those days when we were working overtime!

Look at these two Moochers this morning, pretending like they were going to help me with this dripping water eBay paper tape. They jumped up on the window sill to supervise, but we know why they are REALLY there. Lots of birds, squirrels, bugs, the neighborhood cat LOL

@stuff4divas

Your kitty on the right looks to be asking "How can I help?"  The kitty on the left looks to be way more interested in what is going on in the neighborhood.  LOL
