As many of you know I'm still recovering from a long term injury/illness. I started feeling bad on new years eve. On new years day my friend too me to the ER. I had some kind if infection and they wanted to admit me for antibiotics IVs.
My ebay emergency plan went in to action. My store got put on away. My friend was able to fulfill and ship out 4 pending orders. It went off flawlesy without a hitch.
I hope everyone has a ebay emergency plan in place when the unexpected happens.
What a crappy way to start the new year. I hope everyone had a better new year than me. 😉

I hope so too; and this is proof how easy it can be if you are prepared.

Geez, James - I hope 2026 is better than last year! 😒

So sorry to hear this, feel better, and relieved that you were well prepared for an emergency.

I've had to put emergency plans into place a few times, but the really big emergency happened while I was already on time away (I knew I'd be recovering from surgery and did time away, then I got complications and needed more time away).
Sorry to hear 2026 has started off really bad, hopefully things improve for you soon

James, I'm so sorry to hear about this.
Very glad to hear that your plan worked flawless, even if I would have rather you didn't need it.

I am so sorry to hear that. I hope those antibiotic have you feel good as new in a jiffy.
My emergency plan is my hubby (of course, he can never find my items in spite of my very specific inventory tracking). He would probably be celebrating and toss all my items in the garbage (ha, ha).

Bad news and good news at the same time!
I used to write Emergency Plans for hospitals and schools, so the title of your post caught my attention.
I'm glad you recovered so quickly from your infection. I got one of those while I was in the hospital recovering from a stroke. It took over a year in and out of hospital and a couple of surgeries to get rid of it.
ETA: You have great friends!

I am not a big fan of apps, but a selling apps is a real help in emergencies.
At the beginning of the pandemic when I was admitted to the hospital for heart surgery, I put my Amazon listings on vacation using their app. That avoided needing to implement the other aspects of my emergency plan.
Now that the Ebay part of your plan is done, follow the next step - GET WELL.

I’m glad your plan worked out! Honestly, I’m a one person show. My 'Plan A' is just finding where I put my inventory, and 'Plan B' doesn't exist because no one is coming to save me! If I go down, the store goes on Vacation Mode immediately. If a couple of orders slip through the cracks before I hit the button... well, they’ll just have to scream while I recover.
