Ebay has become my BIGGEST WASTER of PERSONAL TIME with INFERIOR PACKING SLIPS and MANAGED PAYMENTS

I am so very close to pulling the plug on being a SELLER on Ebay.  First, they changed the packing slip and it no longer shows the product sale price and shipping charge.  That ADDS two more steps to PROCESSING and PACKING ORDERS for customers.  GO BACK to the OLD FORMAT EBAY!  Don't WASTE my TIME with additional steps.  BOOK KEEPING is becoming a nightmare.  Now...onto MANAGED PAYMENTS.  Ebay has not given one thought to solving problems with this program.  Again, I sit down to pack and ship an order.  The money is sitting with you for about 3 to 5 days.  My first six orders didn't make it to my bank even though the ROUTING INFORMATION was correct.  Now you say it is smooth sailing with a DELAY of 3 to 5 days.  Ebay wastes my time checking and rechecking to see when and if it hits my personal bank account.  They take shipping out of PAY PAL and that means extra book keeping steps as well as paying upfront for shipping until reimbursed days later.  Let's not even begin to talk about COMBINED SHIPPING and PARTIAL CREDITS.  Get with it Ebay.  Straighten out your OBVIOUS SELLER PROBLEMS AND COMPLAINTS.  Don't waste my time when I call and say not to worry.  I have spent hours on the phone with CSR and their supervisors to NO SATISFACTION.  Again, A HUGE TIME WASTER.

Re: Ebay has become my BIGGEST WASTER of PERSONAL TIME with INFERIOR PACKING SLIPS and MANAGED PAYME

The contract was a way to protect PP when Ebay split the company off.  At the time Ebay was there biggest customer, so if Ebay had gone another direction with their payment processor it would have significantly injured PP financially.  So there was the contract.

You are fine as a buyer, I'm sorry you got scared.  I'll be sure to be more careful if I ever have the need to post that again on a thread.

Hmmm Smiley Indifferent

Could someone here confirm this?

Buyer paid.

Label, and plain packing slip done earlier.

I have the option to now, if so desired, print this.

Nice ... a Hybrid (Combined Invoice & Packing Slip)! Smiley Happychampagne

Hopefully there isn't too many clickty clicks to do this as some sellers are complaining about...a few extra steps?  Hopefully not.

But it isn't a few extra clicks.  It is on the same screen as the option to print a label.  There is no extra work involved.

That's why I put hopefully not...Smiley Happy

You would know better than I...just saw a post where someone had said there were a few extra steps to printing an invoice and they weren't too happy about it and if that was the case, I couldn't blame them for felling that way.

It's nice to know that they do not have to go into an extra screen to retrieve this.

I know.  I tried explaining several times that there are no extra steps.  It is the same amount of work for either form.  But some are just so fixated on having  a Packing Slip with pricing that it just doesn't sit well with them to include an invoice, which has pricing.

While some companies do packing slips with pricing, it isn't standard.  I would venture a guess that most companies do not do packing slips with pricing.  Packing slips are not meant to be a financial record but a record of shipment and what the shipment contains.  The financial record is the invoice.

Sometimes change is hard on some.  I know I sometimes have a tough time with it.  I get so use to doing something a certain way that any change to that just seems wrong.  In time I adjust and realize I'm fine.  But that changeover period is sometimes quite challenging.

I had heard about a contract between the two companies but I never knew the reason for the contract.

I thought that maybe it was to make paypal continue to allow buyers & sellers to use paypal so that paypal couldn't run away...Smiley Very Happy

It's interesting to know that it's the opposite of what I had thought it might have been but never felt the need to look into.

But the real reason makes perfect sense too.

Oh yes, there are definitely times when we need to make adjustments.

I got lucky semi-recently...several months back, when they yet again reformatted the purchase history page.  It was so hideous AND user unfriendly that I (probably along with MANY others) complained so much that they actually reverted back to the previous format - which I was/am thankful for...mind you...the one before that was even better but I could adjust like I always have in the past but that last one...there was just no way around that bad design.

I am truly grateful that they went back to the last version.

Every now & then I guess we get lucky and they do actually listen. Smiley Tongue

You've got it.

In 2018 Ebay was allowed to have no more than 5% of sales processed by other means other than PP.  In 2019 it is 10%.  This is why MP has started of small and will build as the contract gets closer and close to it's end.

Here's a little light reading for you.  Their contract.  LOL  Guaranteed to put you to sleep.

But this one does have pricing on it...and it says invoice/Packing slip - like two in one...how'd they do that?

...without any extra clickity clicks?  Maybe...hopefully?

I think they may be in the process of changing over to this.  Some earlier in the thread are reporting no $$ on the packing slip.  I'm unsure.  I don't use this function.  I just put my business card in my packages.

I've gotten purchase data from PayPal using dates of purchase because Ebay had my pictures in purchases in half tons where I could not even tap to contact seller.
