Just a simple poll for the Community.
Do you think the GTC format is beneficial for your current eBay needs?
IF eBay gave you a choice????
Would you have said Yes or No to a GTC format? This is a simple yes or no question.
This was a very interesting poll posted about two weeks ago. My sales are down approximately 40% from last month and I feel the GTC policy is the primary reason. In my opinion It creates a lot more work/time to manage and takes a way the "sense of urgency" from potential buyers. I feel is it horrible for small/mid size sellers and will result in additional fees if sellers are not very careful.
Now that it's approaching a month since it was made the only fixed price option to sellers, what is your opinion?
Thanks

GTC was an option before this absurd idea got jammed .. sellers used GTC according to their needs and/or item.. Why do you have to shove it down our throat..I Know.. surprise recurring fees to the sellers..I can only imagine how many sellers got sacked by the 30 days relisting fees on a 31 day month.. twice the fees in one month.. and the 500 free listing promotions .." Yikes "another add-on to the fees when they relist automatically....everything gets flipped(updated) around and sales literally drop more than 70%.. instead of making it better it puts another hurdle in front of sellers..

I dont like the fact that Ebay doesn't allow us to change our own duration of time of days..
I've been on here for a long time and was doing so much better by choosing my own way to sell.
Just like everything else some guy in tech says hey" lets do this for a month and see what happens ? I say WHY???? I dont sell thousands of stuff so for a small time shop on here it benefits my pay pal.
So many people will see this 30 days and wait until the last moment and it doesn't work for me it might for you but I need my selling fast to take care of my family.
Thanks ,
Teri

I say no to GTC. Sales are down. But ................thank you so much to ebay for making me so unhappy with GTC. Ihave moved to 2 other venues, hardly bother listing here anymore and I am doing GREAT! So grateful for this shove out of ebay. I been here since 2003 was never interested in expanding to other sites. I have now and WOW !! Great!! Happy to hate GTC,

No...as with all things Ebay does...more trouble for us...more money for them...

Bad, as I have to cancel manually all listings now, which takes a lot of time, as I have to watch for ending of listings, which went live at different times.
Most likely, I will (and am doing right now) be listing much less and at once, not like I listed before whenever I have a new item to list. Unfortunately, forcing this feature will make less money for both myself and eBay.

I have been trying to figure out how ebay will be making more money from the new GTC policy. I have an Anchor Shop so can have unlimited listings at any time and until 6 weeks ago, manually uploaded the unsold listings every 30 days (quite a task when one has 47,000+ listings).
Therefore, for those smaller sellers, I am assuming that the GTC with its automated re-listing means that smaller sellers will be paying re-listing fees if they decide not to end the listings or miss the automated re-listing.
Surely this cannot be the only reason ebay have introduced the new GTC policy? As I explained in a previous post, we have seen a 65% drop in sales in just 6 weeks - it has been an utter disaster for us

Ebay wants us sellers to buy Anchor Stores. You can tell that when you end a listing and they suggest it.
For me I can't handle an Anchor store level, money wise or listings amount wise.
