not sure if YouTube videos are allowed but you can get the full story searching this on YouTube “7700$ ebay scam black vault”
summary: buyer files bank chargeback against 16 year seller and gets to keep 7.7k in items for free without returning, eBays touted seller protection runs for the hills.
I actually had something similar happen to me when a buyer went to their bank saying not as described, eBay let them keep the item, and made me give a full refund to them, and let them continue to use eBay like nothing happened.

Naming and shaming is disallowed.
1. Unless you sell on a different account, you have no history of sales and certainly no $7700 item
2. If you did sell a $7700 item and the buyer opened a return request, did you respond to it and accept the return?
3. How long ago did it happen?
4. Based on your claim of the buyer's purchase, it appears that the user's most recent purchases were between 6 and 12 months ago.

@albertabrightalberta I think the seller is @blackvaultmarket . The OP is just relating another seller's experience.

Unfortunately, the scenario you describe is nothing new. Just about any item can be had for free at the seller's expense with the right kind of claim.
eBay has not provided any seller protection for "item not as described", and why you will often here the suggestion of "Never sell anything here that you can't afford to lose" . Sellers should know this going in, and be aware of their monetary risk tolerance. Instead, they may be lulled by the words "seller protection" without knowing what does and what does not qualify.

Ebay didn't let the buyer keep the item, their credit card company did.
When they do a charge back, Ebay doesn't have any say in the outcome, it's all on the buyers payment source.

Right , but eBay controls the seller protection

"7700$ stolen, no eBay seller protection, justice for blackvaultmarket"
Other than delivery or signature confirmation, there is no seller protection here. Once a buyer goes to their cc, Ebay is completely out of the picture.

I guess I’m fully allowed to post this then because I did not make anybody. Cheers

OK, so please explain what eBay should have done differently.

Oops, I misunderstood.
I don't get how this is ebay's fault though.

Why are you even getting involved in another seller's dealings with Ebay that you saw on a YouTube video? MYOB.

Ken the buyers CC company has no authority to go into a sellers account. So how is it that eBay has no say?

is this in the US? you have his address no one who scammed me out of $7700 would not get a visit from me and also would get some nice deliveries to his address like a shipment of manure

Not True the buyers CC company has no legal rights to any of the sellers accounts. So how is it possible that eBay is not involved?
