Im pretty new to selling and recently became a top rated seller. It appears that I need to change to 1 day shipping to get the top rated seller badge and the benefits that go along with that. Is that correct? So what exactly does 1 day shipping mean? I'm in the US in the central time zone. I heard that ebay works in the Pacific time zone. Is this true? So If something is ordered at 11.59 Pacific time am I required to get the item to the post office by 11:59 pm Pacific the following day? Our mail leaves our small town post office and is trucked to Minneapolis at 1 pm central. Does the package need to be on that 1 pm load or do I just need to get it to the post office by there closing time at 5 pm? How about if I put the package in my mailbox and have the rural carrier take it? Does It count if I just print the label the next day and ship it out the following day? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

It means that you have to ship your items the day of or next day of the sale. You also need an acceptance scan from the USPS, UPS, Fedex or DHL to prove you shipped the item within one day.

You need to get it to the PO before closing and get it SCANNED.
You can't just drop off, as it might not get scanned until the following day at the sorting facility.
All that eBay cares about is that you get it scanned. That is your proof of handling.
If you have a 24/7 kiosk, you can get it scanned at 11:59 and you will be okay.

You have to have a carrier scan within your handling time of 1 day.
Buyer purchases on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you need a carrier scan by Monday.
Buyer purchases on Monday, you need a carrier scan by Tuesday and so on from there.

Thanks really helpful. Thank you. How about time zones. I've heard ebay is in the pacific time zone. Im in the central which is 2 hours different. If I make a sale at 11:59 pm Monday does ebay consider that a monday sale that needs to be shipped out tuesday?

I'd ship it within your time zone to be safe.
The zip and date on the tracking will be based on where it's scanned. You don't want your tracking to have a scan on the next day.

We are TRS+ located in Central time zone, very small town USA, WI. Our tiny PO has different hours compared to the bigger cities around us.
What helps is having a cut-off time for your purchases within a 24hr period. You can set those under shipping in your preferences. We have things set to; purchases paid by 8 am CST Mon-Fri, will ship that day, and we then drop packages off between 9-11 am.
We don’t advertise that we ship on Saturdays, but we still will for items bought overnight or early morning Fri/Sat. Our post office is only open for a 75 minute drop off window on Saturdays.
People these days expect fast service. Don’t get caught up on time zones, just find a schedule and work with that and you’ll be good to go. And definitely make sure, like others said, get your items are scanned!!
Happy Selling 🛍️

I myself have two day shipping set up and I am a top rated seller. I always try to get it out the same day I receive the order if I can get to the post office before closing. Otherwise I ship the next morning.

Sounds scary, but '1 day shipping' is not as stressful as it sounds. 🙂
Here is my settings on cutoff times:
https://www.ebay.com/ship/cutoff
Generally my flow every M-Saturday:
Real world scenarios:
Order comes in at 7:45 AM Monday: This order would get packed up and shipped on Monday when I pack and ship.
Order comes in at 9:30 AM Monday: Since it's after 8:00 AM Eastern, it does NOT need to be shipped 'same day'. It will get shipped Tuesday morning. I would NOT need to pack and ship again, because since it's after my cutoff setting, it's considered 'the next day'.

It's splitting hairs, but there's no badge for TRS. I think you're shooting for becoming TRS+.
Good luck and continued success!

I offer 1 day shipping.
I am in Ohio, Eastern standard time.
My shipping cut off time is set to 6 AM Pacific time.
I begin printing invoices and shipping labels at 10 AM each day M-F. (I don't ship on Saturday). I have a daily USPS pick up scheduled for the entire year.
The time difference works to my favor as orders arriving after 6 AM Pacific don't have to be shipped until the next day. (Or Monday if arriving after 6 AM Pacific).
If I have time or if I am heading out later in the day I will package and ship Friday orders arriving before noon my time.

As long as we're clarifying things: TRS is a seller status, and TR-Plus is a listing status.
IMHO all this effort at clarifying same-day handing and cutoff times is beside the point of this thread, since the OP is concerned about meeting the requirements for 1-day handling.

I will say I found the cut off information important and my original post was mainly geared to avoid the OP gaining late shipment rate due to lack of proper handling.
I based it on the OP's question of:
"Does It count if I just print the label the next day and ship it out the following day? Any advice would be appreciated. "
Which would result in late shipment rate.

Ive been away for a few days and just checked my thread. Thank you all for your helpful info. I had no idea I could set a preferred shipping time in my shipping preferences. That makes a world of difference. Take care you guys!

You have two threads with the same types of questions asked. This was answered in the second post on your other thread.
At the time of this post, it doesn't appear you have changed your listings to adhere to the needs so you get TRS+ on them.
Also you can change them very easily using the Bulk Editor.
