Good morning. I am trying to create a new listing that is a Pick Your card lot with 5 different cards. I updated the Attributes and options you've selected part. For each variation I entered a different picture, price, and quantity. But when I try to list the item I am getting a 'Card Attributes is not allowed as a variation specific error". I don't understand what this means. I have been doing this format for many weeks now. The version that I am working on is based on a 'Sell Similar" that I did on one I created 2 weeks ago. Tried playing with Item Specifics and even Category with no luck
Is there some kind of update in ebay where this types of listing can't be done anymore?
Thanks

I am going tp attempt to use @shipscript conversion tool as I have put in many calls to Ebay and they seem unable to resolve. @salvadord @ Where is Multi-quantity off/on found? Will the quantities if they are 0 stay 0?

@shipscript I used this on one listing. The only issue I saw was that it did not copy a quantity of "0" over, it replaced with "1". Any ideas why this would happen?

Did you manage to turn on the Stock control option?
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/listing-tips/bulk-listings?id=4160#outofstock
https://www.ebay.com/uas/selling-pref
The tool will collect the Start quantity and the Quantity sold, and subtract the two to come up with the current variation quantity. Did the tool show zero in your spreadsheet or did the tool show "1"?

@shipscript yes I was able to find and turn on, thank you. I am having some errors when using tool to convert variation. Majority of listings converted with no problem, thank you. I am still having problems with 165. Any ideas?

Yes, if you turn the Multi-quantity ON, your pick list will retain all the OUT-OF-STOCK items even though the quantity will be 0. The reason this was important for me is because (a) I may find more of an out-of-stock item in my inventory so all I have to do is go back to my listing and change the 0 to 1 or more and it will become available to buyers; and (b) when your listing reflects (see pic) 76 sold, but you have no OUT-OF-STOCK items, it kinda looks funny. To turn the OUT-OF-STOCK option on, in your menu at the top, choose "MyEbay", then "Summary". You will then have a screen with 3 options - choose "Account", then select "Seller Preferences" bottom left. On the Seller Preferences tab you will find "Multi-quantity Listings" - make sure to turn them both on. The script works like a charm and keeps all the information, pictures, quantities and prices. Hope this helps you

Thank you. This definitely helped me alot. I only wish I knew about this sooner... LOL . Safely converted roughly 1400 listings... Still have 165 listings that are not converting. Hopefully @shipscript can help me with them, so thankful I found this information. Thanks again!

What issue are you seeing with the 165 that are not converting?
When you upload a spreadsheet to seller hub, there will be a report generated over to the right that has a results file that can be downloaded. The error messages will be shown there.
Sometimes there are other issues in the file. For instance, if you have an item condition that is not 3000 (used), you may need to change those to 3000. The tool has an option to do that.

As of today, "Card Attributes" is allowed again as a variation attribute. So I guess the few hundred hours I spent redoing all my listings and changing to "Card Number" was a big waste of time since I could have just left well enough alone 2 months ago.
"Card Number" doesn't work now. So maybe by that logic in about two months "Card Number" will be working again?

I tested today and was not able to get either name to work. "Card Attributes" and "Card Number" are both reserved.
I've also start a help thread for those who need to revise again.

Just tested this again and "Card Attributes" works for me when I go into an active listing and add a new variation attribute and title it "Card Attributes". "Card Number" did not work.
Thanks for trying to help. I'll look into your tools. It's deeply frustrating at this point having just two months ago to go and redo thousands of cards over many different listings one by one, which took a couple of weeks to get through. Now to have to do it again and this time redo even more work as I have added more listings using "Card Number".
Makes no sense to me.

I am so tired of this. I cant use CARD NUMBER either and that means I cannot update ANY of my listings in the sports card category because they now ALL use CARD NUMBER. Now what?

Post here where we will have some bulk revision solutions:
At least the existing listings can sit while working on the issue. They just won't have high visibility for the week or so that it will take to finalize the best solution.

Will do

i called ebay 4 times in the past week, and nothing has been fixed. i waited on hold for an alleged supervisor today and she swore she was going to escalate my trouble ticket to management. I assured her that tens of thousands of us are being affected by this snafu. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU ALL CALL EBAY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMPLAIN. **bleep**ing on forums won't do much.

It's a snafu, but there is nothing that eBay will "fix". eBay staff has already confirmed somewhere on these forums that the change was intentional, and there were similar changes in other categories.
I see that you have 170 listings with "Card Attributes" to change. Those listings include invalid Item Conditions (0,2750,4000,5000) that must be changed to 3000. All but 5 are missing the "Graded" value of "No". Those can all be changed in bulk.
Please post on this thread to get some help.
