Well Folks Just Another Glitch To Deal With

I was doing some relistings this morning for clothing that I sell.  I noticed that a whole new field has been added asking for all kinds of crazy information Like department etc. In this new field it is asking for the size again so that we have to list the size twice.

I then tried to bulk edit my handling time due to a upcoming business trip.  I could not edit because all of my listings are showing the error "item Size Missing".  All of my 400 listings have sizes listed as well as measurements.

I called Ebay customer service and low and behold I got a USA Representative! I explained the situation and he began his investigation.  After 10 minutes the rep told me that ebay instituted these new fields overnight and there seems to be a glitch which will show that your listings have errors which mean no sales.  I was told that they (IT) are aware of this issue and that they will try expedite action on my account to get this rectified.

I have to wonder when someone at ebay will fully test something to make sure it works before it is implemented. It would also be nice to tell sellers that there will be a change.  I was told this will take 24-48 hours to fix.  I am not hopeful as I have heard this before.

Just adding my log to the fire. If you're here, I don't need to explain how frustrating this is. It is wholly unacceptable, and when they finally become Amazon Lite and become irrelevant buyers will accept the alternative and they will extinguish themselves. Why do they spend so much effort to be king of a different mountain, when they were king of their own. I've been here since '99(unresolvable dormant account), and before that I bought and sold things via newsletter, SASE, and money order/personal checks. THAT worked better than this, and I had more faith in that customer base(they knew what buying vintage/old stock items meant) than I've had here in the last 10.

Just an absolute jalopy of its former self.  Stop putting a promise to shareholders before your process and you'll have honest results. I can't afford this company's incompetence.

I've always said, ebay missed out when they were trying to be Amazon on the whole rising of reuse recycle movement. They could have been KING if they marketed us sellers as the ones helping the planet.

Change for the sake of change.

Have to justify those Silicon valley salaries.

New REQUIRED item specific in the stamp category.

1) Place of origin
2) Country/region of manufacture

Both must be filled in.

I'm sure the genius that thought of that got a nice pat on the head.
