Unable to pay

So 2 days now and when i go to checkout and select any of the payment methods nothing happens so i can't pay for anything at all.

my problem is when clicking buy it now, i automatically get a browser update recommendation, and after updating it still does not work.

Just happened to me tonight and customer service rep denied everything and tried to get me to believe it was my browser(s). Did nothing to help me, just wasted my time on a long and useless phone call.

 

Between this and multiple problems with shady sellers I might be done with ebay pretty soon.

It’s Wednesday June 19, 2019. Having the same issues- not able to pay at checkout using PayPal- allows me to login but the confirmation arrow keeps spinning forever- it’s 7:50pm now- been dealing with this since noon (12pm). Smh. If this persists I’m permanently doing the Amazon thing. What a failure.

I am also experiencing the same non stop blue spinning wheel when I try to checkout using PayPal. I tried clearing cookies and cache, I tried using different browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox), I tried using different IOS devices, I tried paying 24 hours later, and nothing works! I spoke with PayPal customer support and the PayPal Rep checked and said that it is a problem on ebay’s side, especially because I am able to log into my PayPal account without any issue. I spoke with eBay customer support and they were unable to resolve the issue. I finally ended up using ebay’s credit card checkout to pay for the item.

Still never received the "response within 24 to 48 hours" both reps promised me. Meanwhile, a third phone complaint would have cost me a 20+min. wait-time on hold. Nope. Not today.

 

I am about to lose out on a rare and hard-to-find item that I will be needing as a daily tool later this year, and that I cannot find anywhere else. If so, adios Ebay. I have had enough of "technical difficulties", Chinese dumping, and endless hassles with individual sellers over practically every other item I ever buy on here. This place is nothing but aggravation.

Hi, I have had this problem since 6/17 and have spoke with many ebay reps whom all tried to say it was my ebay card. My card provider says nothing wrong with the card so I tried using it on amazon, worked fine tried it a walmart worked fine. Ebay has a problem telling us that they have problem but I do not have a problem buying somewhere else. They said I could check out as a quest and it would work but that did not help either just a lot of run around and taking up my time its bad enough to 1 time out of ten you get to talk to someone that speaks English and will let you finish stating your problem without interrupting Hope they get a fix soon sam@43.

I will be closing my eBay account. I am waiting for the Paypal debit card to arrive and then- will use that as a method of payment on Amazon since they don't directly accept Paypal on their system. I realize I don't have to close my account to shop- however, it would be pointless to shop on eBay once I have my Amazon set-up. I have lost nothing but money doing business here and I'm done with it. I will not be returning and hope this company finally goes away as well. I spoke to a rep and they have confirmed a security issue that's been ongoing for an untold amount of time. Also, they have no time-frame as to how long it may take for a fix. I've been a faithful member for almost 7 years, it's hard to reconcile all that time and $$ lost investing in this company. Oh, well...Good luck everybody.

I can't pay because the entire CART page won't even load.

So I can't see what's in my cart, and if I won an auction, I can't go to cart and 'pay only this seller' and pay. There is no reason for this, i've tried another browser, restarting, etc, and nothing. It refuses to load the page. I'm screwed. It is also disconcerting to me that when I searched for this problem I noticed so many messages from various topics which say 2018, 2017, 2015 as if nobody uses this 'community' Q & A, or forum. That's insanely impossible. I expected to see millions of messages of all kinds dated 2019, and oh my god, it's like... uh oh, am I the only one using ebay now?

after 10 days , a new looking paypal sign in popup appeared and I can now pay for stuff in checkout

30 June and the problem is still occurring. The "Go to checkout" button isn't working and sends me to an error page. My work around was to process each item (20) individually with the "Pay this seller" button in the cart. Took ages as I had to keep signing into PayPal each time, but at least it worked. Won't be shopping eBay for a while that's for sure! As and end note...one of the items wouldn't let me process, it came from the seller.
