Whenever I try to send a new message to someone it is popping up a window that has a broken piece of paper and says, "google.com is refusing to connect". I have tried 3 different browsers and cleared cache and cookies. The message does send, but sends up to 4 times even when it does not confirm sending it?!?

Are you signed in using Google or are you signed in with your eBay username/password?

Try incognito
Reboot your router
Are you using a proxy or VPN?
I can't think of anything else right now.

Same thing is happening to me. Ditto the sending multiple messages screwup.

I was able to send a message with an image using Brave, but apparently only because I was already signed in. Once I signed out and back in, I started getting that error when trying to send a message with an image file.
I was able to send a message with an image file using the eBay app.
I can also reply to eBay messages received via email, but so far I have not been able to send images that way.

Strange. I hit this problem this morning using Chrome: the "google refusing to connect" message and three copies of the message seem to have been sent. When I searched to see if others had experienced it I found this thread, but the first time I tried to post this reply it asked me to login to ebay, although as far as I know I'm already logged in. I don't know if the community pages have a separate login, but I'm wondering if somehow things got confused between ebay and google.

I to having the same issue.
NOW I'm worried the seller may BLOCK ME FOR SPAM!
I tried to apologize to the seller and it spammed them with multiple messages,
God I feel horrible!!!!
I always try to do my best to keep a professional demeanor towards my business partners, business associates or clients but this is a nightmare, I just hope that Ebay fixes this soon because this is causing delays in business communications and I cannot get my jobs done properly - we're loosing time spent on spam when we could spend it on Filling orders and making money!

@brickstin Yes, that is exactly the issue I am having! The longer you allow the page to stay open the more messages it will send. So, I think to prevent it from sending so many, close the page right after sending it. That is all I got right now.

I have had the same issue this morning with not being able to attach a photo to the ebay message on my desktop. Although it is not ideal, until ebay can fix it, I was able to send the message and photo on the ebay app and that seemed to work fine everytime so far.

Same here....no matter which browser I use - I cannot contact any clients - just comes back "(pick any browser) refuses to connect".

Had this happen the other day when it was slower than normal to connect but finally did send. Then again yesterday, got that same screen massage, canceled that one. Using desktop with Google or Edge Windows 10, don't have other options so not going to worry about it till they get it fixed.
