Ebay flagging my ip address as a bot.

Hi all,

This issue just started happening.  I've tried changing my ip address as well but still get the same issue when logging in or trying to add items to my cart. No changes to my browser config was made.

"

Pardon Our Interruption...

As you were browsing eBay, something about your browser made us think you were a bot. There are a few reasons this might happen:

  • You're a power user moving through this website with super-human speed.
  • You've disabled JavaScript in your web browser.
  • A third-party browser plugin, such as Ghostery or NoScript, is preventing JavaScript from running."

I don't run any browser extensions. I've tried multiple browsers.  I'm even not "clicking" around so fast 😕

Any idea why this would have just started happening and how to fix?  I've read thru many of the other posts about this issue here.  I've tried clearing my cache, different browsers, different ip addresses, etc.

Is there any support team contact at ebay I can reach out to?

Thank you

Make sure your browser is up-to-date and has JavaScript enabled:

https://www.whatismybrowser.com/

In some cases, if you are using a bad link and getting stuck in a redirection loop, you can get that error message. See if you can use a different link to sign in.

https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll

If you are using a mobile browser, try changing to a different browser mode: mobile, classic or desktop. Sometimes one page may not render properly in mobile or classic mode, and that may cause a redirection to a different mode, but the page may redirect back to the first page in a loop. Try a desktop browser or a mobile browser in desktop mode.

Or try using the app.

Make sure you have JavaScript enabled. You might also try using a different browser; if the issue doesn't follow, it's likely an issue with your default browser.

Looks like an alert for this was previously created by the ebay support team.

Seems like it needs to be revisited!

Anyone from ebay support frequent these forums?

Same for me too.

Everything was fine until Wednesday 20:00, after which I am presented with a barrage of "Pardon our interruption..." pages if I try to access any 'account page'.

That is to say, I can search eBay and view listings, but cannot access any page tied to my account. So I CANNOT view anything from purchase history, messages, account info through to most importantly - current sales, which are slowly building up and I cannot access them.

I deleted all eBay cookies, which meant I had to log back in, but no surprise - it takes me straight to "Pardon our interruption..." so I cannot log in!

Well, I do not pardon your interruption, as this needs fixing ASAP please!

Thank you.

UPDATE: for a short period today (Thursday) I was presented with eBay sign-in page rather than "Pardon..." page. However, when I tried to log in, a red box appears stating something like "we are currently experiencing technical issues" - and wouldn't let me log in. Things quickly returned back to "Pardon our interruption..." pages instead, which is where things are now.
