I had a customer contact me who wants to purchase from me, but EIS is not providing an option to the United Kingdom. And they are a previous customer of mine. Who previously purchased product through the same listing. Using EIS.
The business policy used by the listing was modified in the past to define shipping to only the US and Canada. Other countries, those not specified, were supposed to be shipped via EIS, but while most display, none of them now work (it says to contact me). And in the case of United Kingdom it doesn't show at all.
In an attempt to get EIS working, I changed the business policy so that it says I only ship to the US, no international, so EIS would kick in. It may have. I'm not sure. However, the United Kingdom is still completely missing.
And, also, the link that Ebay sometimes shows to the customer to "Contact the seller" for shipping costs does not work either. It goes to an error page. "Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later."
In any case, this is what my listing currently shows for shipping information:

As I said below, in checking mine further it isn't consistent within the toy category. Many of mine listing show the UK and many don't. Very random on timing of when I did the listing too. The ones missing the UK are both recent and very old listings.

Well the consistent things I've seen are:
1. it's happening with toys - every seller reporting the problem is seeing it on toy listings
2. it's shipping to UK
3. it's inconsistent in how it's applied, e.g.: 2 items in the exact same category and one may show eIS to UK while the other doesn't as demonstrated with the OP's listings.
elizabeth@ebay went out to the shipping team on this last week. Maybe she can try to get us an update this week.

I have been having the same issue. Several of my listings disappeared from the UK around the same time as the OP's. After chatting with support and making multiple edits, they started appearing again. Today I have buyers contacting me again asking why they aren't available in the UK and I see five listings that no longer ship to the UK.
My items are not toys. They're in Business & Industrial > Electrical Equipment & Supplies > Electronic Components & Semiconductors > Semiconductors & Actives > Development Kits & Boards. I've tried other appropriate categories, and it makes no difference.
Like this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164281127816
Other items with similar settings do show UK shipping: https://www.ebay.com/itm/166204220126
I've been on the chat with customer support today (this is the third time) and they say they're escalating it to the "technical team."

Hi @wastingtime101. Let me touch base with them on this, and I'll follow up shortly.

Thank you elizabeth@ebay . The strangest thing about this is how the UK doesn't appear on either the exclusions list or the ships-to list and that's why I wanted to flag this and see if we can get some info from the eIS team. Unlike other blocks and restrictions, the element of UK not showing anywhere gives it the appearance of a glitch.

Hi @bigskysell would you mind telling me which item number this is for?
10-16-2023 12:23 PM
elizabeth@ebay It appears the OP set up direct shipping with USPS since eIS was problematic so all their item numbers posted throughout this discussion may not be good examples, but you can look at items from other posters in this discussion like:
Item 126098596196 from @treasurechestadventures
Item 145345661216 from @beauty_in_a_box_barbie_dolls

I called eBay about the issue again. No resolution to the issue at this point.
Frustrating.

It is definitely a problem in the Toys & Hobbies> Diecast toy vehicles category. It doesn't matter if it is cars, tanks, airplanes none of them show EIS to the UK

I have an unrelated question if you would not mind answering. When I click to see "Sellers Other Items" the search shows that you have 76 items for sale, but when I look at the filters on the left for "Buying Format" it looks like you have 403 listings.
How many active listings do you currently have?
I ask because it appears that I too might be missing some listings but I cannot figure out which listings show in Manage Active Listings (excluding out of stock) that buyers cannot see.
It appears to me that you have 327 listings that are not visible to buyers.

Hello everyone,
I have received the following update from the Shipping Team regarding certain listings that are no longer shipping to the UK:
"There are certain categories that had to be blocked when shipping to the UK as a part of a new law for the UK that items have to have special product safety markings. These are not eIS specific, and it is all shipping methods into the UK."
10-16-2023 02:31 PM
It is a major problem in Toys & Hobbies but in scanning my listings I've also now found the problem with Dolls & Bears, Home & Garden, Pottery & Glass and Collectibles. And I've also found that New Zealand is also missing the same way the UK is on multiple listings of mine. And I've found the exact same type of item (dolls for example) listed the exact same way, identical category listing where one listing shows the UK or New Zealand and the other one doesn't even though in each listing is set up to ship to both places. But they don't show as allowed or excluded when you click on the shipping details. They are just plain missing. I haven't called in yet because I know what a nightmare this will be to try and explain and that they will tell me I'm the only one with this issue. 21% of my listings in Toys have this problem.

Thanks elizabeth@ebay - appreciate the update! Can you offer any explanation for why UK is not showing under the excluded section of the shipping section like it normally would in a situation like this?
In addition, why does the same exact listing (like item 145339895203 posted above) not offer UK with eIS, but it does offer UK when seller sets up direct shipping through USPS?

elizabeth@ebay Could a more clear explanation be made on this:
certain categories that had to be blocked when shipping to the UK as a part of a new law for the UK that items have to have special product safety markings
So sellers might know how to answer buyer questions on it?
