Sellers,
We’ve made it easier for you to register for managed payments by introducing a new method to safely verify your bank account using microdeposits.
With this new method, eBay will make two microdeposits in unique amounts to your bank account to verify that we have the correct bank account information for you. The microdeposits will usually post to your bank account within 1-3 business days.
To identify the microdeposits, look for 2 small microdeposits in your account transaction history. Once you receive the deposits, you may return to eBay’s registration site to enter the amounts you received. Once verified, you will receive an email confirming your account. We’ll withdraw the amount of the microdeposits from your bank account typically within 3 business days.
If the amounts you enter do not match eBay’s records, you must verify your account using an alternative verification method.
In addition to microdeposits, you may also link your account directly to your seller account using eBay’s bank log-in feature.
We’re excited to be offering a simpler way for Sellers to verify their bank account for managed payments.
As always, thank you for selling on eBay.

i have sold a bunch of stuff and the money never comes. before i had it instantly through paypal now it just changes the payout date and i never get the money. furthermore i have to pay to ship everything when i don't ever paid from ebay. this is unacceptable and i guess i will have to move to amazon from now on.

I haven't gotten the email yet that says I have to opt in to Managed Payments so I am not going to unless they say I have to. Does anyone know how they decided who had to start using this option? I'm thinking maybe it is for the big time sellers and not the smaller guys. I hope that is the case then I won't have to use it.

Where do you go to have Ebay processing payments, fees , etc. I was set something through Ebay advertisement page and when I went back it was gone.

This is a LIE. It must be because everything else I am told is a LIE. LIE after LIE, after LIE, and STILL, eBay CLAIMS it can't verify my account.
Even though they are sending money to my account, BUT I have been told today they will stop if my account is not verified.
I have been told (LIED TO) over and over that everything is OK because of what I sent, only to be told that it is not.
I have sent copies of a VOIDED check (TWICE) and was told that was all that was needed, BUT IT WAS A LIE.
NOW, they want a copy of a BANK statement which no HONEST company has ever asked for.
But, how can I believe that will be enough because they have LIED so often in the past.
Is there any one at eBay intelligent enough, competent enough to fix this? I doubt it.

I just signed up for managed payments this weekend and got the "congratulations, your in!" email. Thought that was it. Had my first "Managed Payments" sale on Sunday evening, got the "Paid/Ship Now" message, printed shipping label and will ship the package today. Nothing is showing up in Pending Payouts. Where is my money? My Payments tab shows the correct bank and account number and I see nothing that tells me that my bank account needs to be verified.

I don't know if I will need to verify my bank account, but I do know why I am not seeing anything in pending payouts: I had received a bid prior to switching to managed payments, so my payment went directly to me via Pay Pal.

Offering PayPal and Managed Payments as an option to all sellers --- without penalizing sellers who prefer to use PayPal --- is the best way to go.

I signed up to have my bank account added for payouts, seemed like everything was correct, even received the $15 coupon for doing it before December. But I have sold two things and still haven't received my payouts. I also never knew about these Micropayments. My bank account number is correct and my name is the same on both my eBay account and my bank account. Can someone help me?

Yeah. I didn’t even realize they wanted my ss# till I switched and unfortunately I had a buyer for an item which looking back I should have just canceled the order. Now I have $$with eBay I can’t get out. There is no what in hell im giving out my ss#. It’s not worth it. I sell way less than the threshold and I’m more of a garage sale once a year type during spring cleaning.
I went to M e r cari and so far sold two items. So will see. Haven’t gotten paid yet.

Where do you enter your micro deposits at? I received mine and can not find where to enter the numbers. Right now ebay has over $4,000 of my money and want it!

My PayPal account has routing and account numbers for direct deposit that are backed by Wells Fargo Bank - when I try to use that info for my MP setup, it gives me the message: "The account type you have attempted to add is not compatible with managed payments. Please enter details of a different account." I'm really upset about this. I DON'T WANT TO OPEN ANOTHER BANK ACCOUNT JUST FOR E-BAY. We have bank accounts for my family's personal finances, I'm certainly not going to move my e-bay money through there. My PayPal account has the ability to accept direct deposits via Wells Fargo and for some reason that's not good enough either. I understand that it's e-bay's platform and they make the rules... but man this seems like a whole lot of upset for no good reason. I'm starting to think I might be better off signing up with various online specialty auction houses for the types of items I typically sell.
